I’m a long time stamper. I used to have a list of items to put in my basic tool kit that I take to club meetings. I have lost my list and it’s been awhile since I stamped any where but home. I took apart my kit and now want to be sure not to forget ant essentials. Let me know what you gave in yours.
Thanks in advance!!
Bev

I didn’t enlarge the tiny photo of the yellow list but I didn’t see stamp cleaner on the other lists. Hauling stuff is one of the worst parts of teaching! Ugh.
great lists! Love the clothespin. my tools always include wipes or some kind of cleaner. I agree, traveling when you have a room to stamp always creates challenges. Sometimes when I teach class outside my home, I forget things. Just makes me "wing it!" Great thread
I found my best way to avoid forgetting to take things is they always live in that bag. I dont take them out. Been awhile...let me think....
I have a small scorer and mini cutter; bone folder, pens and pencils, mini rubber mat to stamp on, mini cutting pad, scissors some other bits.. Hmmm I dont think as much you guys do but I was only taking it to classes and they supplied some stuff or I added what I needed for that class. It isnt a rolling bag-just an over the shoulder canvas one.
If I was teaching it would be a very different story I think. I would definitely have a rolling bag and much more stuff.
Besides many of the items already mentioned, I include the following for classes (not having been to a crop or club):
Mini spray bottle of water (Ranger for mist or droplets)
Microfiber cloth
Couple of paint brushes and a small palette
Bone folder
Wink of Stella!
ScorTape in a couple sizes
3M Foam tape
Paper for note taking
A couple of acrylic blocks
Black non-bleeding pen
Tim/Tonic stamp positioner (small)
Archival black ink
An apron (only sometimes)
I carry a Scout Pocket Rocket tote. It’s ridiculously light weight with six outer pockets and both grab handles and extra long shoulder straps. I used these stuffed and heavy for years for my business and thought they might wear out after a few years but they’re going strong about 15 years later. Sometimes they can be found less expensively.
Bev, I too am going out of town for a vacation and was wondering what to take. Then I got the promotional email yesterday from Splitcoast Stampers on the one day sale of the Studio Bag from My Sweet Petunia. I went out to look at the bag and there was a video of what that gal had in it. I was stunned at the amount of stuff she put in the bag and am going to play the video back again myself when packing for the vacation. Everything she had was what you would need to craft away from home...hope this helps.
I have a tool kit for travel, a tool kit for upstairs scraproom and kit for basement craft room. Being that I don’t have air conditioning, it’s too hot upstairs in the summer and too cold in the basement in the winter. It’s too hard to carry things up and down, so this way I don’t have to think about things. I have bought three of everything over the last three years. Crazy I know but my aging body will need a stairlift within the next 5-10years likely.
I have pencil, pen, rulers (Timmy and T-ruler), pokey tool, Teflon bone folder, tool with brushes to remove pieces from dies, pick up tool, scissors (Timmy and Cutter bee), Dewalt knife from Home Depot that nicely replaced my xacto knife where the blade kept falling out, UNDU, wet glues, glossy accent, Scor-tape in various sizes, ATG Tape, Mini Distress inks, inking tool, a few unique punches like round binding and filmstrip punches, twine, crop a dile punches, cutting mat, scoreboard, trimmer. I’m sure there are a few things I’m forgetting.
