Default What company sells your favorite red ink?

I need advice on the best ink pad that's a true christmas red, both dye and pigment. Also which do you like better, mono multi or Beacon 3 in 1 ?

VersaFine...I think it's called Satin Red. Great for detailed stamps.

I think Stampin' Up Real Red is a gorgeous true Christmas red. The newest style ink pad can be pretty juicy and takes getting used to if you've been stamping awhile and using other ink pads. You need a lot less pressure to get good coverage.
I also like Ranger Archival Vermillion. Great true red and waterproof when it dries.

I LOVE My Favorite Things Red Hot. It's made by Colorbox. I bought it with their Poppy stamp set a while back, because I saw their samples of the coverage it got on solid images on clear stamps. I have not tried any of their newer hybrid inks.
I don't like Tombo Mono multi...it's too hard to get it to come out, then it's very wet on the paper. I prefer Beacon Zip Dry for everything.

I'm not a fan of the Zip Dry...it is sort of like rubber cement to me.

I love Mono Multi in the green bottle and have been using it for several years. The only thing that is not so great is using it with sequins for very thin die cuts. I tend to put very tiny dots and let it dry before placing the die cut on my card, which avoids some of the sticky oozing.

I like the Ranger Matte Medium, but the nozzle is not as fine as Mono Multi.

ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever really is wonderful and has a thin nozzle so you can get tiny drops of glue on narrow die cuts.

My favorite red ink for clear stamps (which almost all I ever use) is by a brand called TPC Studio, Clearly Better. The color is called Scarlet. It is what I would call a classic Christmas red.

The box doesn't say if it is dye or pigment, but it does say "specially formulated for clear stamps", so I would assume it is pigment ink.

I definitely recommend the Mono-Multi for a liquid adhesive.

My favorite red is by Tsukineko, in the Brilliance line - Rocket Red. It isn't one of the Brilliance shimmer inks, but is matte in appearance.

Love the Versafine inks, Arlene, and will have to find that red.

I have the stampin up Real Red and the color box red. Not sure which color box red it is. Its one of those 6 pack stacks. I am very satisfied with the reds that I have. I realized that I don't really use them that much. I like what they do. They are red.

Arlene -- I like the glue also but beware to those who get gel manicures or have gel nails -- this glue discolored my french manicure! I couldn't believe it! I've never had any other adhesive do this. So now when I use ScraPerfect, I wear thin latex gloves.

In terms of red, Papertrey Ink and SU have near identical true reds. I cannot tell them apart and they are the perfect Christmas red. Unfortunately, I don't like either of their ink pad styles! So I use Versamagic RedRocket when I want something similar.
