I mistakenly bought *250* envelopes that are too small for a standard card. :-( They are 5.5 x 4.125. I don't want to cut my cardstock down for the next 250 cards I make. I can't return them, so I need to figure out how to use them! Anybody have any helpful ideas? I found instructions for bagalopes, but I need more projects for these envelopes so I don't keep kicking myself for picking up the wrong box. Grrrrrrr.
Golly gee!!! Way too bad that you cannot return them.
I cannot think of any other option except to cut a quarter inch off the cardstock before you cut it in half. Well... at least that would only be 125 extra cuts instead of cutting each of 250 cards by an eight inch.
Oh! I just remembered something... In the Anything BUT a Card gallery there are some "accordian envelope albums" like this one by thumbunny: Accordian Envelope Album

Ok, I found envelope cards and the accordian album. Thanks! Any more ideas? The only other thing I've come up with is to start making 4x4 square cards. :-)
If you have any 8x8 paper you want to use up, you would just need to cut it down to 8x5.25, then fold in half to get 4x5.25, and I think it would fit in your envelopes. Just a thought for fewer cuts!
You could use them as holders for bookmark cards that are squared, cut the short side off the envelope when sealed and pull out card if that made sense.

Oops! Looks like the person above me was just asking for bagalope instructions. I didn't even look at the date of the original post before responding to the original question. I guess I'll remember to check that in the future!
Sorry. Guess I don't know all of the rules for searching SCS. What's wrong with asking a question about an older post, especially if you don't know what it is. I have only been checking SCS for about a year.
