As the Fall season starts I have the fun opportunity to take some weekend day trips to view the beautiful changing of the seasons. I always wish I had a list of stamp stores for the areas I may be able to visit. Could we compile a list of stores in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa? I am familiar with several in Minnesota so I will start the list of those I know. Please provide details when possible. There is no need to list any stores without weekend hours. Thanks in advance for your participation!
*Pine City Scrapbook store - Pine City MN : Open daily from 10 - 5.
*Fond Memories - Walnut Grove MN : Open Tuesday thru Friday 10 -5 and Saturday 10 -3.
* Crafts Direct - St. Cloud MN : Monday thru Saturday 9 - 9 Sunday 10 - 6
Two of my favorites are on the list, I've never been to Fond Memories. A new one I've discovered is Firefly Farm in Pine Island, MN. Open Monday 10-9, Closed Tuesday, Open Wednesday-Saturday 10-9, Sunday 10-5. Next Saturday my daughter and I are taking a Lawn Fawn class there from Jenn Shurkus.
Thank you for listing this store, Stacy! I can't wait to check it out. They have great hours... making it easy to be able to shop. I love that!
I have been surprised that there have been no other stores listed. I don't know of any stores in North or South Dakota, but I am sure I have heard of something in Iowa and Wisconsin. I think there might be some other stores in Minnesota, but I don't personally know of them. Thanks again for your reply.
I remember there used to be a big store in Moorhead ND. It was in a shopping mall and it was big. Can’t recall name at moment but will post when I remember.
I was there twice with a friend and both times we parked behind the mall so I did not see the name.
I also recommend Crafts Direct which I went to with same friend, a couple of times. Good thing they have a small lunch /coffee spot because there is so much to see. You could easily spend a whole day there. They also had an adjacent building where they had their clearance.
I just remembered it was called K and Kraft.
Does anyone know if it is still around?
Thanks Linda, I will be sure to pop in next time I am in the area. I like the independents as they have different inventory from Mikes etc.
We have a couple of independents here as well a# Michael’s. If I want the newest that’s where I go.......but for Tombow use my coupon at Mikes.
Creek Water Memories - Jordan, MN
I haven't been there for awhile, but enjoyed browsing/shopping when I did go.
Not open Sundays, but do show open on Saturdays (web site/Facebook).
Lighthouse Books & Gifts This store has TONS and TONS of stamps and stamping supplies. They are not open Sundays, but it would be a shame to miss them!

I haven't been to this store, but they used to have a second location that I shopped at frequently.
Yeaaaah! I was so bummed about a store that I was able to shop at that got rid of their Saturday hours and were never open Sundays. I am not able to shop during the daytime weekday hours. So basically in my mind that store is now closed. All of these other possibilities have me really excited to have new places to shop.
Scrapmania in Cedar Rapids is an awesome store. She carries just about everything you could want for stamping and scrapbooking. And if she doesn't have it she will order it.

No other independent stores in the Fargo-Moorhead area other than K & Krafts. Just the chain stores (Michaels, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby).
Thank you, just wanted to make sure I did not miss out.Fortunately here besides Mikes we have 2 independents that carry many companies and will order in for you, which saves shipping.
Door County Rubber Stamps & Scrapbooking
If you love rubber stamps this is the place to go. Oscar (she owns the store) has had her store for what seems like forever. I believe I was first introduced to this store back in the 70's She makes alot of her own stamps and carries a huge collection of Northwoods stamps. She also has a large selection of G45 papers if your a fan of that line as I am. This store is located in a really cute house so each room is filled to the max. Very tight getting through each room so its not exactly handicap accessable.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Picture This! Scrap That! store closed its doors the end of July. The owner wanted to pursue other interests.
I really miss it, as now my closest (independently owned) Craft/Stamp/Scrapbook store is Nikki's Scrapbook Nook, just south of Blooming Prairie, MN. Nikki's is well worth the hour drive, tho! She has a ton of stuff, & also an overnight crop room you can book!

I love visiting Door County, have not been for few years. Where exactly in Door County is this store, as there are a number of small delightful places to stay. We usually stay in Fish Creek but do the tour of the surrounding towns. Thanks

Its located in Sturgeon Bay on Jefferson St In a very colorful old house. Main color of the house is Purplish. I know the county quite well. As a child we vacationed in Penninsula State Park in Fish Creek. Finally bought a little cabin on the lake in Baileys Harbor in 1969. Have spent every summer there ever since. Oscar use to have a second location in Egg Harbor but has since closed that one and only has the Sturgeon Bay one now.
You are missing a fantastic store in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. It is "Let's Create" and is located in the old Shopko Mall. The store just moved farther down in the same strip mall and they are having their Grand Reopening October 19th. The address is 1367 8th Street. Franki [owner] is a wonderful, creative woman who carries the latest in product and Kelly and the other gals are more than willing to assist you in finding things or ordering items for you. A friend and I were just there yesterday and the new store is amazing!

Valley Stamp & Scrap Neenah, WI
I give Valley Stamp and Scrap a big thumbs up! Linda and Ed have really worked hard to make this new (about 1 1/2 years) independent store a magnet for stampers. Besides a good selection of stamps, inks, etc. they have managed to bring in some big names to do classes. BONUS two (I think) miniature huskies greet customers at store.
