Default unmounted storage question

On ebay I won a set of unmounted Stampin Up stamps. The seller had stored them and shipped them inside an empty cd case. It seems she somehow replaced the sticky residue with some shiny low tack double sided "tape" that stuck to the inside of her cd case. I emailed her twice and asked her what she used but she never emailed me back. Does anyone know what it could be that she used? It is not "Arleen's Tack-it Over and Over" b/c I've used that and don't really like it. This is clear, clean like scotch tape not gunkie like glue.
I'm fairly new to reading your chatter mail so forgive if it's a question I should already know the ans. to.
Thank you to anyone who can help me. : )

It sounds like the same stuff that attaches Nesties to the packaging, doesn't it? Seems to me I heard about a repositionable tape that framers use, and that could be it. Sorry your seller didn't get back to you. I'd do a search for respositionable mounting tape and see what happens. Good luck!

EZ Mount is smooth but leaves a film on my CD cases, could that be it?

Default Wonderful solution for unmounteds

Earlier I asked the group if anyone knew what backing my ebay seller had used to her unmounted stamps she sold me. I finally received an answer from her. I copied/pasted my email from her....
(this stuff is GREAT!) It's not really tape b/c it's not "sticky" but sticks. Now that she's told me what it is, I recognize as cling sheets or a type of window cling stuff. Once you remove the paper liner off the original Stampin' up stamp, press the "cling sheet" onto it. Cut around the stamp ... the other side sticks to acrylic plastic blocks, cd cases or acrylic sheets, etc. WOHOO!!! Why didn't someone think of this before !!! LOL

and the stuff is not that expensive...even with the shipping. and you can pay with paypal..how easy is that! : )
Here's her email to me:

HI! Your questions aren't a bother at all...let's see if I can answer them.
After removing the sticky brown paper from the back of the stamp simply stick the stamp to a sheet of vinyl cling and trim the vinyl around the stamp. I purchase the vinyl (called Grafix Cling Vinyl) in sheets from a company on-line called Wilde-Ideas Craft Supplies. The cost was $5.29 for a package of six 9 x 12 inch sheets. That was a couple of years ago so you'll probably want to check their site for the current price. Their web store address: www.wilde-ideas.com I'd be happy to send you a piece of vinyl cling so you can try it out. One package does many stamps.
Most stamp/scrapbook stores sell acrylic blocks-I have several in different sizes to use with my stamps. I love the unmounted system. Please let me know if you have further questions....I'll also send you a link to more unmounted stamp ideas.
Happy New Year!
Heather

Now back to me:
(Thank you for all your help girls!) If anyone has any further questions, feel free to email me.
Blessings to you all, Sheila ([email protected])
