My sister and I just got back from the most wonderful store in Pueblo, CO called Colorado Stampin and Scrapping. We arrived at 9:30 am and didn't leave until 7:00 pm (even though the store is supposed to close at 5:00). That store has everything you could ever dream of using in it. The owner (Margaret) is such a sweet person. I asked her if she could demo a particular technique for me and we ended up doing make and takes for hours. As customers would come into the store and wander into the back she would invite them to sit down and do the make and takes also. The most amazing part of this was that she didn't charge us for any of it. I learned over 10 new techiques that I had never done before and that's saying something because I get the Weekly Inking every Wed. from SCS and I visit blogs that have wonderful tutorials. Of course I made a major purchase before leaving the store. I guess it's a good thing I live in Savannah, GA because otherwise I would never get anything done because I would always be in her shop. If you are ever in that neck of the woods you have to go to this store.
I've been there! She is indeed a very sweet lady!!! We usually do our shopping in Pueblo once every week or other week and I should stop in there more! Just what hubby would want!
It sounds like you never heard the phrase " I'm off the clock." which is my pet peeve right now when I am in a store and someone wearing the uniform of that store tells me when I ask a question. Does she have an on line store.

Unfortunately she doesn't have an online store otherwise I would really be in trouble. I was shocked when I looked up from what she was showing us and realized that we had been there for over 7 1/2 hours and the store was supposed to close at 5:00. I was teasing Margaret and told her that I thought she should have longer store hours and she said, "No problem, I'll just call my husband and tell him that I'll be late". We stayed an extra two hours and had loads of fun. I don't think Margaret has every heard the phrase "I'm off the clock".
Wow, that sounds like such a fun experience and such a nice lady. Thanks for sharing a good story. Now, how do I justify making my way over to Colorado....
Sounds like a dream come true 7.5 hours in a craft store learning new techniques and buying stuff and having a great customer service - what else could a woman want in this world?!?!?
