I love having music on when I am creating. While I LOVE hard rock, I cannot craft to it because it is too distracting! So when the paper and ink are flying, I have KLOVE (Christian contemporary), Delilah, or classical music playing.
Im a little different. I stamp to old movies: Dante's Peak, Volcano, Star Trek. Love that I have the whole movies memorized and that I don't have to stop what I am doing to know what is going on.....

I like 80s stuff, Bruce Springsteen, jimmy Barnes, through the day, but at night a little softer like Ronan Keating, Dolly Parton. Movies are good aswell.
I stamp during the day to talk radio, weird huh? But on Sundays I rock it out to Polish and German music. We have a local radio station that has a Polish host on Sundays and he loves Polish polkas with lots of accordion music. Reminds me of my Dad.

Fun question. Sometimes movies but usually music. For music I mostly listen to classical, jazz, or classic rock using channels that I have created on Pandora Radio based on my favorite artists.

LOL. Old movies? Dante's Peak and Volcano came out in 1997. You're making me feel ancient.
Home Free Vocal Band - an acapella group. Their CD is the only 1 in my player, set on continuous repeat and I can and do listen to it all day long. If you've not heard of them, here are 2 songs you need to listen to, and OMG, the bass singer, Tim Foust, makes me weak in the knees.

I have a Pandora One account and whenever I am crafting.. I have music going. I have set up all kinds of stations, but listen mostly to music from the 70's ..Bee Gee's are my favorite. I love listening to older Country Music as well.

I go through phases where I watch TV shows or movies on my Kindle. If it's music I listen to pretty much anything while I'm crafting - provided it's upbeat and I prefer a variety. I just downloaded the iHeart Radio app on my phone and listened to a local station last night - 106.5 the Lake, because their tag line/schtick is "We play anything". It's usually a pretty good variety and isn't too slow. I listen to it in the car I don't recall hearing that "Happy" song. I hate that song. It's like the musical version of a stalker - it's been hard to get away from it! It would halt my crafting mojo because I'd be frantically trying to change the station while grinding my teeth.
And I'm with Emily on feeling ancient! I have pants older than some of those movies!! LOL. But I get not wanting to watch something you have to pay attention to while using scissors or heat tools. Or something that could make you jump... that would be bad.
I play Pandora and have several stations. Depends on my mood that day. It can range from today' country to hard rock to heavy metal to 80's or if I'm doing Christmas cards in the middle of August.....I'll listen to Christmas music.

I have a Pandora One account too and depending on my mood I have tons of stations at the ready
Glee - Broadway hits and current hits
Praise & Worship radio - Christian praise songs
Classic Rock Power Workout - 80s hair bands with GREAT beats
Pop Fitness Radio - current upbeat songs
80s Cardio - love this one for great fast upbeat songs!
Pitch Perfect radio - a big variety of stuff here
A Thousand Years radio - beautiful, melancholy songs
I try not to have TV on because even though I have a bunch of movies, etc memorized I still stop to watch.
I like it quiet when I'm stamping. I usually only listen to music in the car. If I want music on in the house I turn the TV to the Tropicale or Caribbean music channels.
I have speakers for my iPod so I listen to that all the time if I'm listening to music otherwise I have silence. I have a wide variety that I like everything from Enya to The Doors. I like 60s, 70s & 80s with a few more recent ones thrown in. My favorites are Twilight Zone by Golden Earring and White Wedding by Billy Idol.

I have my ipod going - it ranges from "death metal" (Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Five Fingered Death Punch, etc.) to classical (favourite is Brahms, favourite Russian composer is Mussorsky), Christian rock (Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch), country (Luke Byan, Miranda Lambert), and everything - I mean everything! - in between. I have approx. 7000 songs and they just randomly play though.
Sometimes I sing along - it doesn't seem to distract me from what I am doing. If it is something funky to dance to, you might even seem me bopping away in my chair!

Thank you for that! I had to go and find a version that was licensed to play here because the links you gave wouldn't play for me - but it was certainly worth it. I used to sing in a 4-part harmony group, so I really enjoyed it. "Your" bass singer reminded me a bit of DH who could sing bass, tenor or alto depending on what we were short of at the time, LOL.
When it comes to stamping it's speech radio (BBC radio 4) or silence for me, normally.
When I listen to music its Christian. Either spirit on direct tv 826, sos radio or KLove.
If the boob tube is on...I never get tired of the Ywilight series...
Blessings
