Default Thinking of becoming a SU Demo.... (help!)

Hi!

Crazy longtime lurker here Hope you don't mind me jumping in!

I have been giving a lot of thought to finally biting the bullet and becoming a demo for SU Just waiting on the hubby's official ok lol

A quick question, I already have a Big Shot. In order to use it in classes/workshops, would I need to purchase SU's version? Or am I ok? Same with other items that I have that are exactly the same as SU's but not labelled Stampin' Up? (Example, bone folder...). I don't mind repurchasing little things, but the big stuff, ouch lol

And for the fun question! I am already putting together my sign-up order so when DH does give the thumbs up I can be all set to go lol I have about 30 stamp sets already, that are from the current catalog (another 15 or so that are retired SIGH). Would you use the $125 for more stamps? Paper? Accessories?

Like everyone, trying to get the most bang for my buck.

TIA!

Hey Tyra! How exciting! Tell your hubby how much money you'll SAVE! hehehehehe

You'd be fine with your own Big Shot, etc. They are the same machine - everyone starts somewhere.

That first decision is tough. Depends on if you want to make you Christmas cards right now - then you could pick all stuff from the mini, etc. If you already have lots of stamps, I'd go with ink and cardstock!

Be sure and join the SU Demo group here after you sign up - lots of great info in there!

Good luck & welcome out of lurkdom!

Thanks Lydia! Oh trust me, I did... and also mentioned that I could actually be MAKING money from something I love too lol

So glad that I will be ok w/my own Big Shot! That was one of my big worries lol

I actually just placed a $200 order from the Christmas catalog (shhhh....) a few days ago, so I think that I am covered there ;)

I do like the ink and cardstock idea. I have a bunch of ink, but none of the new colors. Think that those need to be on my list, thanks for that idea!

He said yes! Yahoo! LOL I knew that he would, he is beyond supportive of me and the things that I want to do. But I wanted to be sure that he was ok with it, not just saying yes and then grumbling about it later ;)

He's a potential keeper then. ;) Beats the ones who require our own stealth training and closet-crafty-keeping.
