Default SU Stamp Pads New User

I have just invested in the Rich Regals ( I think thats what they are called) classic stamp pads- all 12.
Love the colours but when I go to use them on some of my stamps it is hard to get colour on a small area. Do I have to invest in the small pads. I really don't like using the markers.
I am just new to SU so need some help.
Thanks

What kind of small area are you having troubles with? I am not sure if this helps, but....this is what I always do and tell my customers

Ink small stamps in one of the corners, not the middle.

Ink all over the pad. You will not ink up your stamp evenly and sufficently if you just push it in one area....pat it all over and several times.

Does that help at all? If you explain the specific stamp or what is happening someone may have a better answer.

Hi, the new style ink pads do seen to be a little concave in the middle of them, if you tap your stamp a few times, or give it a little shimmy, it usually will cover the whole stamp.
Let us know.

After I tap mine I pull it off on an edge so the whole stamp is like being scrapped. hope that helps. I bought all the spots and love them. I just don't like others to use them. I'm afraid they will ruin them. But I'm using them tomorrow at my mystery hostess party

Turn your small stamp upward and bring the corner of the inkpad down to it. This way you can press ink on as necessary and see if you have the coverage you want. HTH

Thanks it all worked out well. I find the skinny stems on flowers for example hard to do but with practice it should work.
Thanks again
