Without doubt, you have all heard about the tragedies caused by the earthquake and tsunami that battered the coasts of Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Somalia, and other surrounding countries, killing more than 150,000 people.
In the spirit of the Statement of the Heart and our Making a Difference charitable giving program, Stampin’ Up! will launch a promotional program entitled, “Relief from A to Z,? in which $5 us will be donated from the sale of any alphabet stamp from January 1 to February 28.

I love this company!!!! I will be pushing those alphabet sets now. And I will be ordering another one for myself. I guess I will get the heart alphabet out of the mini catalog after all. I have a lot of the other ones already. :?
I love Stampin' Up!! Their generosity never ceases to amaze me...they just keep making me more and more proud to be part of their family...oh I mean company
Now I am just gonna have to figure out which alphabets I want

What a terrific company! Now, that Collage alpha AND # set have moved to the top of my list. And I'll be sending them an email to let them know how proud I am!!
This is a wonderful company and I am very proud to be a part of it. For all of you Demos out there, please take the time to read Shelli's letter. It is so touching, I had to print it out to keep it with the rest of my SU history.
I can hardly wait for the flyers to come out so I can get them out to all of my customers. I'm going to post them at work too.
It would be neat to keep a tally of all of the alphabet sets sold and purchased by SCSer's. How cool would that be !!
This is so cool! Now if only I'd have waited to place my order......I ordered Collage alpha & numbers & Simple Type alpha & numbers Dec 22. Tha would have been an additonal $10 from me. Oh well. I gave to Compassion Int'l because I sponsor a child in Eastern India. I haven't heard if she was affected, but I did hear they did lose one child in the program in India. Please, give in any way you can to this relief effort!
And- now I must bite my tongue, swallow my pride, etc... however the saying goes, as last week I wrote on another thread about how I wouldn't expect SU! to come to the aid of this disaster as there are many tragedies around the world, and many worthy causes that could use assistance... etc... but I see that SU! is very compassionate about helping people and caring for the good of the world. I will happily order an alphabet set, or 2 and join in the relief effort!
I'm so glad that they are doing this and that they decided to start the promotion from Jan 1st. I had an order already go in w/ an alpha set and I know that this particular customer would be so upset that she had missed this promo. I'm also so excited that this coincides w/ the SAB promo. What better way to boost our sales while really benefitting a better cause. This was such a horrible tragedy, but the world seems to be coming together and really showing what humanity can do at our best.
Ok, hate to be a naysayer, but this smacks of just another way to push the alphabet stamps. SU could have just made a donation, or announced that all the profits of a particular set would go to the relief effort. Not meant to offend, just my opinion.

Your sig says "think positive", babe!
Apparently, they've already made a sizeable donation -- a quarter of a million dollars! This thing with the alpha sets is just icing on the cake.
