SU! question -my 1st Open House!!!

I need help figuring out how much stuff to order for an open house. I expect maybe between 30 and 40 people and want to have an easy Make and Take like a bookmark, but also want to demo how to stamp and how to emboss, to take advantage of the Embossing promo. (They could emboss the bookmark they stamped, couldn't they?) Need to know suggestions for ink pads, I'm planning on using Sweet and Sassy for the stamping, and maybe Heartfelt Thanks if I decide to do two projects. Thinking they could emboss on the Sweet & Sassy one. Also, any quick tips on making bookmark blanks? I could just cut CS to size & punch hole in top for twine. Nothing fancy for my first time! TIA for any help]

Smile Good luck

Your open house sounds exciting! I think the bookmark is an excellent idea for a make and take, and of course they can emboss it if they want. You'll want to make the blanks in advance, but you may want to let them punch the holes to add the ribbon or twine. (Hands on works best for me in WS's) I wouldn't demo Sweet and Sassy along with Heartfelt Thanks because they are very much alike: thin lines, two step stamping. For your stamp pads, you will want Versamark, Classic Black or Brown, and 2-3 pads in the color family you are demoing. Look at the kits for suggestions. You definitely want to demo a card--everyone loves them. Look for something that shows off how well the inks and paper coordinates (see made from Scratch on p.17--and skip the eyelet for a faster demo). I attended a WS with over 20 people. The hostess had 2 tables for the M&Ts, and a third table with the catalogs & order forms. Boy did that work out well! Good luck. Let us know how it goes!
