To answer the OP, I will miss Glorious Green, Green Galore and Gable Green at St. Pat's Day. I will miss Ballet Blue and Brocade Blue, and even Taken with Teal. I will miss Sage Shadow, Lavender Lace with Lovely Lilac, and I will really really really miss Cameo Coral with Ruby Red. *sigh*

It's been fun to read how one person's hated color is another's love.
I will NOT miss Orange, Yellow, or the Pinks one bit.
I don't know if I ever used Handsome Hunter.
I don't know why they chose to keep Bravo Burgundy! LOL

Okay, now I'm over the shock of the announcement about the new color collection...and I've moved on to just being excited.
Sure, I'll miss some of the old colors and can't afford to buy ANYTHING right now. But I'm thinking the more modern, fresh colors will make for some pretty combos, and I do think the change was needed.
I have a dye ink pad in white. Dream Impressions have one but I never got the reinker so if SU does that's going to be great. It really worked pretty good too!
Creamy Caramel (I use it to distress everything)
Ruby Red (However, Riding Hood Red is pretty close)
Really Rust (My vintage Halloween Orange, wah!)
I will NOT miss:
YoYo Yellow (most hated color, 6 year a demo and I've never bought any more than the initial stock when I signed up)
Glorious Green
Cameo Coral
I'm thrilled River Rock, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red are coming back but where is True Thyme (goes great with River Rock), Cool Carribean, Purely Pomegranate and Kiwi Kiss? As I recall, those were very popular (especially Cool Carribean and Purely Pomegrantate.)
I'm sorry to see Wild Wasabi and Pacific Point back as I didn't care for them the first time. Tangerine Tango is just ok, I liked Dusty Durango better, although Cajun Craze might suffice.
I don't understand why they took away most of the purples and 1/2 of the blues but I'm assuming they will make it up with the new "In Colors".
I've got hoppin' mad customers too. Most have opened their products so I'm sure they can't return them now. Angry emails all week. I wish SU! had given us a 6 month heads-up or even a year as many of my customer collect their colors slowly with great thought as they can't afford to purchase everything all at once. The company would have had people stocking up all year. This way they have to stock up on their retiring favorites and also buy the new colors. Need I voice the problems for the demos? 1/3 of all my stuff will be obsolete in 3 month time. This is going to be expensive!
I will miss Creamy Caramel, Cameo Coral, and Ruby Red.
However, I am sure that I will move on to love the new colors, and forget about the old ones.
To people that are upset about having bought certain colors, I would say that if you bought them because you love them, then you can buy a pack of cardstock, and keep on using them. If you bought them just because you wanted everything, (and lots of us are hoarders, including me), keep what you love, and sell what you don't love. It is clear from this thread that every color is somebody's favorite. This could be a plus all the way around.
I'm freaking out a little bit that all of the awesome designer paper that I have I will no longer be able to buy the cardstock to match... now do I stock up just in case or let it go once I run out of the cardstock?
Will any of the colors that Gina K or PTI have match your SU DP? If so you could buy those when you run out of retired colors of SU CS .
Then, if you can, just buy a little extra CS of those colors you will not be able to find a suitable replacement.
Just a thought.
It is a shame that this change is upsetting the very people that have sustained their company. Those who have been loyal customers for years and thus have invested a lot in SU ink, makers, and CS and DP
Most of the colors being retired I didn't use much of anyway, but the colors I'll miss the least are Taken with Teal, Handsome Hunter, Really Rust, Glorious Green and Blush Blossom. I'm not sure how I feel about the change in colors yet. I guess it's sort of exciting, however I own the complete set of markers in the carrying case and now I'll have to buy new markers and they won't have a spot in the case!
I have heard that SU are going to provide a new sheet with the new marker names to put in your marker case.

Yup, you'll just swap the new colors for the old ones and change the insert. Of course you will have to find something to do with the old color markers if you keep them but that's no big deal. SU is pretty good with the details! The new kits with the new colors for the inks and stuff should make the transition pretty easy. No one is going to have to buy a new set of WWC or markers or stuff like that. That would just be nonsense!:p
I don't understand why non-SU demos are mad about the change? If you aren't a demo, you can use whatever colors, paper and ink you want. I use all different brands of inks (I'm on a Distress ink craze now) and mostly SU CS but if I run out or something I will pick up a shade at Hobby Lobby. They have some that are pretty close to SU. It's not any different than buying the 'in' colors and then being gone. If you stamp, you pretty much have a collection of stuff. This is just going to add to the collection. As a stamper, I have tons of inks and won't get rid of my old SU inks just because. I made the mistake of selling some discontinued sets I liked when I was demo. I really regret it now. If you like something keep it and use it. You will be able to find CS that matches or comes close enough you won't notice.
