I used the eyelet edge one today and was so frustrated. I spent a good ten minutes getting the paper left behind in the little eyelets from the die. Why this die is not made with the eyelets/holes cut out of the die itself I will never know.
Does anyone know of a way to prevent them imbedding themselves in the die?
I won't be using this die very often, if ever again. I tried the wax paper trick. It was easier to get the paper out of the holes but then had to go back and get the wax paper out. I tried a paper piercer and a tool I have for the purpose of getting paper out of a die. Either way you stil have to dig out all those little pieces of paper.
Sounds like the problem I had with the SU Doily die. What a pain!!!! I made a card for a card exchange within a craft group I belong to-made 8 cards. That was the first and last time I ever used the die. There were suggestions: stick packing tape on the back as a slight shim, use wax paper, etc. That die is just too much trouble and frustration to enjoy using.
I had the same trouble with the doiley die...BUT I used it to make 30 Bridal Shower invites.
Talk about time consuming..But I had my heart set on using it... I my case I have used it again but NEVER for more than one or 2 cards at a time.

I was told about the wax paper trick by a friend so I tried it with disapointing results. However - I'd read somewhere (probably Pintrist) that butcher paper or freezer paper worked wonders. I happen to have a role of freezer paper and figured I didn't have anything to lose so I tried it with one of my more frustrating Spellbinder dies ... I placed the freezer paper shiny side to the die with my paper on top of that. I ran through my big shot and it pretty much popped right out of the die! I will tell you that it also works fabulous with the SU Lace doily die!

Thanks, I will be looking for some freezer paper now!
