I love the new in colors but I was hoping for a new red.
From Left to right:
Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum.
I was hoping for a true blue. So many of the SU blues have grayish or greenish tints. Thankfully, I still have a bit of Brilliant Blue, but I need a refill!
Also, I liked Lavender Lace - I don't care for the plum or orchid. I like bright, crisp colors not muted ones.

I like S. SugarPlum, P. Peach and maybe the Emerald. I might not buy any new colors. I need to actually do some card making and use what I have!
I loved Peach Parfait and didn't buy extra packs of it when it retired and only have a few sheets of it. I was hoping the new peach would go with my old peach dsp! Looks too dark, but maybe!

If you loved Peach Parfait, you'll love Peekaboo Peach. I think it will work well with your old DSP.
I love the blue and the plum. Can't see a difference between the old glorious green and the emerald. The pink is nice too, sort of a richer regal rose.
This will be the first year that I will not be ordering all the incolors, I am thinking maybe 2 of them. I'm so sad cause I like getting new colors but this years colors are just not cutting it.
They all seem so 80's to me. Blech! I guess it's not as exciting to see those the 2nd time around. I'm glad I don't like much in the new catty as that will save me some $$$!

Is the new catty out online yet or did you see a physical copy?
I agree with Sleepymom, the colors do seem 80's and blah. I would love it if SU would take a survey of "comeback colors". I used to purchase all the In-colors, but in the past few years, I have not found the "In-colors" worth the money-I pick and chose. (I did buy Mossy Meadow). I would love to see a beautiful lavender again. Unfortunately, I have had to seek some of my favorite colored inks and CS elsewhere. How do you do lilacs, or hyacinths, or lavender without bright violets and purples? (Wisteria doesn't cut it.) Or sunflowers and fall colors without the rich yellow of Summer Sun?
I miss Summer Sun. The last few versions of "yellow" have been so blah and so much the same. I would rather SU bring back some favorites than introduce new colors that are poor imitations of past successes.

I agree with you! How I 'do' lavender is hoard and use carefully my Almost Amethyst. That is the prettiest lavender out there.
I also wish they would bring back some of the past popular colours like Pistachio, that is another one I love and am hoarding what I have left.

I thought they were very late 80's or early 90's at first but after seeing them in person I do like them and they seem less and less dated to me.
I received the new catalog and thumbed through it last weekend. I think the colors are beautiful! I see a lot that I like in the catalog. It's much better than the last couple of years. I wish Shelli would design more, now that she is well. I really liked the stamp sets she designed.

This is the most visually appealing catalog I think I've ever seen. It's just pretty. I LOVE the cover and the color combos used on the front. The samples this year are just spectacular! And I like this group of in colors much more than last year's and more than the previous group also, eighties, nineties or otherwise, lol! ;-)
How do you know which ones she has designed? That would be interesting to know. ( I'm not a demonstrator). I've always wondered if their artists are the same people year to year.
Funny and good how different we all are! I got my catalog today and am 'meh' about almost all of it. I don't find the samples that inspiring, sadly. I do love the wedding cards that are in navy and use that beautiful die. That one appeals to me

I'm not sure Shelli ever really designed stamp sets. She used to pick some favorite things like stamp sets and punches that had her name and like a heart on them because they were "her style". Is that what you're thinking of?

Isn't it fun to see how different everyone is? While I can see why others would like that wedding suite I'm totally meh about it, lol! I do think there is a good variety for everyone this time. My bank account wishes I was meh about more ;-)
i received my cattie today and anything on my to do list came to a halt. I must have the Baby Bear and Swirly Bird sets. Will order pack of new In Color paper, reinkers and stampin spots. There are other thing I want but can't order it all at once. There's the first list which is alway loooong but after a while I weed out the impulse buying. I'm like a kid in the candy store when it first comes.
I got my copy of the new catalog on Monday. I have to say, I love a lot of things and my wish list is long. I'm so happy they are again offering the matching cardstock packs with the DSP. I wish other companies would do this. I noticed that I really like a lot of sentiments in this catalog.

Wait! What?! There are Stampin Spots for the new In-Colors?

No, they have "uninked" stamping spots, 5 for $9.00. I'm doing the spots instead of the full pads. Guess I should have been clearer about that. I've been wanting to convert to spots but never did.
Thanks for clearing that up. I've bought the In-Colors card stock/ink pads kit since 2012 and I have inks I never, ever use. I'd rather get spots to try if I can before investing in the pads. A while back here on the forum, someone suggested we all send an email to SU about bringing back the spots, and I did that. Hopefully, they offer them again. I know I'm not the only one who'd love to have them.
Making my own spots mean less cleaning up my Misti! Maybe I won't need to get the markers? And I do like the new colors, even the pink - not a pink person.
I'm glad they are offering empty spots. My method is I buy a pack of the mixed In Color paper and the markers so I can see if I like them. For the colors I think I will use I make spots and only if I fall in love will I buy a full pad.

One cool thing, well there are others too, if you get the Paper Pumpkin you get stamp spots. I love that! Love the new colours too. They speak to me.
My first wish list was really short, well, for me anyway. But it's grown every time I've glanced at the catalog! I even re-added some of the sets I liked last year that I never got around to buying. I love the new colors and look forward to using them with the Botanical Builder framelits. I thought the colors used with those framelits in the last catalog seemed more like fall colors.
I can't wait to get some of that new stuff!

You're enabling me to get those die cuts...I don't need to add anything else to my list but you're totally right!
