Stamping and weight loss???
So I have 8 pounds to lose to fit into a bridesmaids dress (a VERY expensive bridesmaids dress...wish I could spend the $300 on stamping supplies from the new SU! catty!!!!). Sooooo I always seem to want to snack at night so now when I want a snack I'm going to make a card....hope this works....and I'll probably have a LOT of cards, haha.
Very good idea! Good luck. Let us know how many cards you made
by the time you get off the 8 lbs. I'm sure you'll accomplish your
goal and look wonderful in the bridesmaid dress.

you know, that's a good idea. i'm a nighttime stamper, and i'll WANT something to snack on (usually popcorn) but because i'm touching all this expensive paper (and i'm focussed on my work) I won't hardly reach for it.
good luck! I have to lose 60 lbs before my wedding next july.. YIKES!

I can tell you this. I starting stamping in Feb. Joined Weight Watchers in March and have lost 25 pounds so far. Stamping in the evening keeps me out of the kitchen!
Good luck on your weight loss. There is a support thread for weight loss here. It's called 'support HOes - success in inches'. Started by Normat it is in the Other Stuff section - Family Matters under Health and Wellness.
I'm not one to eat while I stamp. I'm always afraid of having food on my hands and smearing my almost finished card.. because, let's face it, I wouldn't smear it at the beginning! Lol. I also always wash my hands before stamping... just to make sure there is no greeblies on my hands before I touch that nice white piece of cardstock waiting to be stamped.
That theory would work PERFECT for me....well, it would if I didn't have that dang "Goodie Jar" (usually filled with Swedish Fish, I might add) right at my fingertips. Good luck to you though!

Great idea! I never eat when I stamp, so maybe I will try this. Another thing I have done is set a goal (small and reasonable like 2 pounds) and reward myself with some stamp purchases once I reach that goal.
We reward our children and our pets, why not ourselves?
