People can ask for any crazy price they want; it doesn't mean that's what a set is actually selling for. That's a buy it now-- people haven't bid it up. If you seach Stampin Up Hula, the listing right underneath that one has a start price of 19.99.
The ironic thing is there are several other hula sets on eBay for $15-$30. I can't imagine why this seller hasn't figured out his won't sell for $600. There are 11 watchers--=probably from here to see if he gets his price. LOL. Crazy.
I just told my DH that I had just bought my most expensive stamp set. It was $65.00. OK actually it was a fundraiser for OWH. The actual price for the stamp set was $15.00 and I just kicked in another $50.00. NO WAY I would spend that much for one set.($600.00 plus) You can always find something similar and donate the rest for a good cause.

It has to be someone not quite right in the head....or someone who really does not want to sell these things and is going for the ability to say "they tried" but it didn't sell as RiverIsis suggested.
If that is listed as the starting price....no price below that will be considered as "winning" the auction. If you start where the seller sets the price and go up from there. Unless it's a Buy It Now price and the actual starting price for the auction is lower. But still....sheesh.
It's crazy out there in "eBay land" and not what it used to be. I used to get great deals on stamps and lots of them too. Those days are gone. I honestly don't know what people think when they price their stuff to sell. Sometimes I want to leave a comment like"what are you thinking?" or for high shipping fees, "are fairies going to hand deliver it on a silver platter??" I don't get much any more on eBay... not that I need one more thing! Why in the world would any one feel they need a $600 stamp.? Those that do.. let me know I have a few I'll sell you!
I was curious so I ran a search of completed items containing the words "rubber stamp" that ended with a price between $100 and $600. In most cases, the item ended without being sold, unless the stamps were sold by the lot. But to my amazement there were a couple of wood-mounted cat stamps that went for over $100. The price started out as $2.95 and quickly went into a bidding war between two bidders. Total insanity!!!

Has anyone Actually emailed the seller to question Him/her on selling price?
What was their comment back? I did notice 16 Watchers, so there is an "interest" to see if this set sells.
All the "watchers" are probably SCSer's;)

Just stumbled across it on ebay. Wow. I don't get it. There are several others listed that aren't moving at much lower prices. If I thought I'd get a lot of money, I'd list the unmounted one I have sitting here in my stamp room, but clearly this seller is dreaming. ;)
