I'm going to visit Fort Lauderdale in the beginning of May. When I was there last year, I visited a WONDERFUL stamp store called Stamp Shack, but I haven't been able to find their web site for some information about their opening hours etc. Do you know if this store still exists and when they're opened? Or do you know some more stamp/scrap/craft stores in Fort Lauderdale?
Thank you so much!!

Glad to hear you'll be visiting sunny (and HOT!) South Florida but I'm sorry to tell you that Stamp Shack closed earlier this year. We stampers and scrappers have seen lots of stores close recently. There are still a couple scrapbook based stores left such as Scrapbook Fanatic and Cherry Blossom Studio. If you don't mind driving you could also visit Everything Scrapbook & Stamps. Have fun shopping and enjoy your vacation!
thank you so much, and oooohhh what a pity the Stamp Shack closed!!! I'll have to look out for the Scrapbook shops you told me, and perhaps a Michaels store. And perhaps I should take a rental car... ;-)
Again, thank you so much!!!

Hi I don't live in Florida, but visit my family there often. I used to go to Stamping Wild in Plantation. That was a great store but it closed. There was another store in Coral Springs, but I think that one closed also. (Both towns are west of Ft. Lauderdale). I also used to go to Pearl Craft Store, but I don't know if they are still around either. Sorry. When you get to your hotel room, check the phone book for stamp/scrapbook stores. I always do that and have found some good stores that way. Good luck and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. You've got to check out the beach in Ft. Lauderdale - AIA South of Sunrise Blvd. The beach on Atlantic Ave in Pompano is nice also. Have fun, Karen
Thank you so much, Cheermom and Karen! Looks like this year I should enjoy some more beach life and sunshine rather than shopping ;-) But I'm going to check out the phone books for some craft stores or ask the hotel concierge (WHAT are you looking for?? Rubber stamps?? ...giggle... poor guy...). And perhaps I'll drive around to the shops Nina recommended. In Germany, I have to drive four hours to the next stamp store, so I'm pretty used to that...

Just in case anyone is coming to South Florida there is a stamp store near Ft Lauderdale call Stamp Boutique 609 East Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, Fl 33060 954-876-1445.
Stop in and say "Hi". I'm the owner and would love to meet you!
Carol, is your store new? I'm very excited to visit it when I got to Pompano in July (my parents have a condo there). I've been searching for craft stores to visit and haven't been having much luck - so thanks for posting this!
I've been there for 2 years now, Can't believe it is already been that long. Time sure flies...Anyway, I hope you stop in and say Hello when you are in town, I look forward to meeting you!
