This catty is a little different than the UK one that was going around. There's SO much in here that I want. This mini catty has more than the whole spring/summer catty. Good bye tax refund:( I hope the family doesn't mind forfeiting summer vacation.

I finally saw the mini on Friday night. It rocks to say the least...I love the table with boots, the DP, and quite a few more things....I'm trying to use the sets I have. There are too many that do not see the light of day. So, I'm not sure what I will end with. But it's a great mini!
I think SU blew it this time. The spring mini is not available until April 1 and Easter is April 12. Well, it usually takes at least 10 days for me to get my orders from SU and those Easter stamps would be useless by the time they arrive. Why did they make it so late??? Doesn't make sense to offer Easter stamps after Easter. I had kind of looked forward to some new Easter stampst his year and I guess they won't be from SU. Maybe next year they will time it better.
All of the sets that have Easter in them became available to customers to order on March 1st for this very reason. Just contact your demo to place the order.
march lst ? REALLY !
how were demo to present them, except at classes ? MAKES NO SENSE......C E N T S
obviously, not much marketing there.
what;s a "hobby" demo ?
SU itself doesn't make any distinction between hobby and business demo. But generally a hobby demo is someone who just buys for themselves and friends, and takes few outside orders. They usually don't hold classes or workshops (or many of them).
Business demos usually hold classes and workshops, have (or seek) a downline, and are in it more as a career.

I think most demos that have a website advertised the preorder special for these Easter sets. Also, if you check out the gallery, there are many examples already for these 3 sets. Stampin' Up! puts out the info and it's up to the demos to get it to their customers. Obviously not all demos do this in the same manner. Although all of the info is on the customer side of the SU! website too.
If you buy the Matchbox Die in April (or any $40 U.S. total from the Occasions Mini) you can select any one item from the "Under $10" page (#20 in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog for FREE.
I generally didn't really like the sets in this mini (I know I am probably a minority). But I do LOVE the Oval stamp set and the Scallop Oval Punch! Those are definitely on my list. The clear sheets are kind of cool, as well. And the Big Shot Matchbox die, but I may have to wait on that one ($$$$).

If even some of the items have been available since March 1st, why have the minis not been mailed yet?
I believe they will be mailed this week. If your demo sends you one directly from SU!, they actually come from the printer. So hopefully they will go out on time.

Does the Under $10 item have to be from that page in the IB&C, or can it be any item (for instance, corduroy buttons)?
Thanks!

Oooh. I am much more interested in these sets than the ones in the Sale-A-Bration. I like Forest Friends and Very Versatile. Thats $40.95 so I can get the $10 deal. Those rub-ons are adorable too.
Its a fab catalog - I have some of the sets just awaiting inking up and using - hopefully I'll have time to play this weekend - Forest Friends is so CUTE :-)
I don't even know if the gal I used to order from is still active, I never get catalogs or updates. She is still listed on the SU website. I basically self serve on the SU website and hear things on SCS. There seem to be so many SU demonstrators who seem quite active on this site.....

The reason that there seems to be so many SU! demos on this site is that it was started by a SU! demo and has evolved into the jumbo awesome site it is today. Any of us SU! demos would be glad to answer any questions you might have, just ask!

That is Page 208 in my #17 post, above. Sorry, forgot about the smiley face that occurs when combining an "8" and a ")".
And, as Jessica confirmed, it the free item is JUST from that page, which is great since it is such an easy page to overlook appearing after the index!

I love scence in a garden, the walk in the park DP, and the rub-ons-I will buy those. I also like very versatile and forest friends but probably won't get them.
I just ordered from the mini and got the rub ons, the paper, the printed transparencies, and the Great Friend stamp set. For my freebie, I got the Mini Note Kit. Not bad, not bad at all!
And, the best part? It should arrive on my birthday! Happy Birthday to me!
I ordered EVERYTHING in the spring mini except the mower set, the rub ons and the friend set. I'm going to go back and order the rub ons.
I absolutely adore the time set. It's so pretty and would work well on vintage pieces.
That catty is jam packed full of nice sets. Last night while y'all were sleeping I was probably mounting stamps. I realized how awesome the Stampin Up! sets are. That little forest set is so cute and the wagon full of love has so many possibilities. If I could shake this flu bug I could probably do some serious creating.
Gail! You're as bad as me, lol...I only left a few sets behind, and I'm seriously considering going back in for 'em. Oy...I am bad, so bad.
Feel better soon! I have to say, though, that if you play with your Forest Friends, you can't help but start to feel better, lol...it's just so freakin' adorable!
