Spellbinders Gold and Magnetic Plate

I use a Big Shot. Do I need the magnetic plate to cut the new "gold" line Spellbinders dies? When ordering the dies, it says I need this for the Spellbinders die cut machine, but what about the Big Shot? Any one know the answer? TIA

I was wondering the same thing this morning and happened to find an Imperial Gold Compatibility Chart on the Spellbinder's site. The chart has sandwiches for the various die cut machines. It looks like all of the machines require the new magnetic plate.
