Default Specials?

I guess this could be a dangerous question after today's events, but I'm really curious....Will there be any May specials? I was introduced to SU back in February and loved all the specials for a while there, but of course there was nothing in April and I was just wondering if there will be any in May?

The only thing I know of for May is that the retirement list will come out.

If I recall correctly, most of the May specials are scrapbooking related, buy $25, get a frame set at 25% off was a past May special. That is my best guess at this point!

I haven't heard of any, but then again the retiring list is coming out on May 1st so there will be plenty of reasons to ring up your demo and claim some of those retiring sets for your very own!!!

Cheers,

Tami you got introduced to SU at a great time. While Stampin' Up! runs specials (and the March special was the best I have ever seen!!!), it doesn't do that every month. This month we did have a special, but only for people signing up as demos. The kit was reduced $30. That is the best discount Stampin' Up! has ever had on the kit since I have been a demo.

Next month will be exciting with the retirement list. So far we demos don't know about any specials coming up in May.

I apologize Beate, I forgot about the discount for new demos. I'm just a regular customer, so I didn't take advantage of that one. I guess I just got spoiled by the nice specials! I hope there will be a little something we can sink our teeth into. I'm one of those people who loves a good deal!
Thanks for the info!

Girl...believe me, I like the specials too.
And Stampin' Up! ran way more and better ones the last months then I have seen in a long time. November and December we had FREE shipping. I had never seen that before. January and February was SAB of course (always my favorite time of the year. Who can say no to FREE sets) and March 50% off sets. I totally understand that April was a bit of a let down. I am just saying....Stampin' Up! spoiled us rotten the last 1/2 year. I am hoping with you that we have a May special. But that might not be. Usually demonstrator get a heads up on the 15th of the month before what the special for the following month will be. We haven't heard anything about May. We are still hoping! But it doesn't look like we will have one.

I agree this has been the best year for specials since I've been buying SU. I think maybe it might have been because of the moving and all the problems that arose from that. Maybe they just wanted to let us customers know we are appreciated. It was very nice and I took full advantage of it but I don't think it will come our way soon again. But look at all the new stuff to get excited about. We just have to wait a little longer for the new catalog and colors etc.

I doubt it.... they were running all those neat specials while they were moving into their new facility and having shipping and picking problems... They will slow way down now on specials I think.

Does anyone think there will be a special related to scrapbooking, seeing how national scrapbooking day is in May? I have never been a demo during May (this is my first one)so I wasn't sure if SU! ran specials related to scrapbooking.

I am still in awe over the wonderful specials that SU! has ran since I signed up in 9/04...SU! is awesome

Default Last year

I believe last year they did something like, "buy any double alphabet, get the matching number set free. Maybe they will suprise us with something along those lines. You never know"! It's always so exciting!

OOOOHHHH, Darlin.....That is quite the can of worms, and I am not sure if you want to open it. Just some negative stuff that we all need to let roll off of our backs.....just like a few weeks ago.....

Well I have to say that all though I love, love, love the specials that SU offers and look forward to seeing what they are offering next, I have really needed the break. I keep saying "after sab I am not ordering till the new catty" . Then it was March specials I couldn't pass up. Now I'm awaiting the retirement list to see what I have to get before it's gone. Everytime a package comes in the mail my husband says "now can we afford that?". Of course I have been saving my "change". When the new catty comes out I am going to have to tell him I sold a kidney or something. ;)

I am in a card group that switches off month to month between CTMH and SU. CTMH has an awesome special for May. They are offering a 9"x9" scrapbook with 12 layouts and cardstock that is $34.95, and the more you spend the higher % you get off the price. You get it free with a $120 purchase. CTMH has been running monthly specials too. Like you got 100 free spiral clips with an $100 purchase during Feb-March.

I think SU specials are better, personally (you don't have to spend as much to get the free stuff), but even though May is SU month in our cardgroup, you can bet I will just put in my just my minimum monthly order, and spend the rest of my pennies from my CTMH demo to get that album at a discount. That is unless SU suprises us with a special. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
