I am traveling to South Bend, IN, next week. My room mate has a job all day on Thursday and I would like to visit some stamping or scrapping stores. What can I find in the area? Is there an Archivers? How about Dick Blick? Where is the best Joann's or Mikes? We are staying Wednesday night at the Jameson Inn by Notre Dame and her job is close to the airport. I will drop her off at the site and then have the car for the day.
Please help me spend some money......................;);););)
My daughter attends Notre Dame for grad school and when we go visit I always stop at the Hobby Lobby right there in South Bend/Mishawaka. We don't have one close to home here in PA so it's always nice to visit there. They have lots and lots of exciting paper, stamps, and they carry the Nestabilities. Enjoy your trip!!!

PAGES IN TIME
335 Florence Ave.
Granger, IN
574-272-5500
Monday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone
Even though their addy says Granger I'd call it Mishiwuka. Call them for directions from where you are staying. They are a scrapbooking store with stamping supplies as well.
Their crop area is huge. If you are looking for something to do while your friend is working bring scrap stuff and you can stay all day. They are in a nice complex with other stores to visit as well as places to eat.
Have fun, I was there last week,
Julie B.
ps. there is also a Michaels not too far from there and University Park Mall.

Reason: more info
Thanks for the info--I did find Pages in Time listed and it seemed pretty nice. I also did a search and found that Mikes, Joann's and Hobby Lobby are all around in that area. I will check out the mall too.
I'm from South Bend and the stores noted are all that's there.
Pages In Time is mainly a scrapbooking store, but they are big and have a lot of paper and other miscellaneous embellishments. Not a lot of stamps though.
Nearby is Michael's, and then Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's are in the same shopping, a little South of Michael's. They're all about 10-15 minutes from the Jameson.
thanks for the suggestions--I did check out Mikes, Hobby Lobby, but skipped Joann's as no one had anything new.
I did go to Pages in Time--it is a great store! Lots of scrapping supplies, but I did find some colored brads and Momento innk. I would recommend that store to anyone!
I also went to a store--can't remember the name--an Education Art store--same area as Hobby Lobby. They had a coupon online for 30% off of three Copics, so I got those. I love those art type stores.
Again, thanks again for the help--Splitcoast Stampers are the BEST!
Thanks for the update. I wondered how your trip went. Glad you found Pages in Time and enjoyed it. I'm not familiar with the art supply store, but sounds like you found a good deal there too!
It is nice to get the scoop on stores in the area when you travel, isn't it?
