Default Something I love about SU stamps...

Okay, I'll go first! I love how so many SU stamps have so much depth that they look like you colored them with different markers, but you just inked them with one inkpad! Think Terrific Tulips and Never-Ending Joy, just to name two. How do they do that??

Another thing I love (which may seem so obvious) is that the SU stamps come in sets, so there is SO much you can do with it! When you buy a single stamp at a store, it's just one stamp, and you have to rely on your imagination to come up with what to do with it - what other stamps can I use, etc. With SU, we have the most awesome Gallery and you can do SUCH different things with a set of stamps.

Now - what do YOU love about SU stamps?

Susan

My very favorite thing (in addition to what you have already said)is the 48 (plus neutral) coordinating colors in so many items - cardstock, ink pads, ink cartridges, markers, eyelets, ribbon, velum, mulberry paper - the list goes on and on. I just gives the look of perfection!!!

I know it is a pain-but I like that we assemble them ourselves. I am TOTALLY AR about how mine are mounted, what I do to the wood, which side is the stamp side and which is the sticker side,...well, I could go on.

And I can trim close to reduce edging.

I agree with Catie, I love the fact that I can mount my own stamps the way I want them! And I can trim the just the way I want them. And I can put the stickers on just the way I want them. You get the idea...I love being able to customize my stamps for me.

I agree with what everyone above said, plus I love the price!!!

I went to a new stamp/scrapbook store here in Appleton, because I had a gift ctf to use from my birthday.

I fell in love with this little giraffe stamp, but it was $6.95 for this tiny giraffe (1.5"x3"). Then I think of a set of 8 stamps only being $21.95 with SU!. So for me to try and build a set with this giraffe similar to what SU! sells, it would have costed me $41!!!!! (I know because I priced it out while I was there) So our stamps are about 40%-50% less than what retail stores sell them for.

Just another reason I love SU!!!

P.S. I did get the little girrafe, because he was just so darn cute ;)

I totally agree with Catie - I love being able to mount my own stamps the way I want - like being able to cut off wording and mount it separately, which gives me two stamps in one! Also, can't beat the value - you get a nice assortment of stamps all coordinated to go together beautifully. (And maybe I'm weird, but I also LOVE the sturdy, see-through plastic cases!!)

"I love your style!" SU just seems to fit my style. I'm not a huge flower person, but their sets get me everytime! I love that they keep up with the trends....love the minis! I also love that all their inks and papers coordinate...I don't buy CS anywhere else now!

I could go on and on.........

Thanks Susan for an awesome thread!

I "LOVE" the catty! I love the way they have the index, listing each page, CS and ink pad used to make THAT special card in their sample. Sometimes I just don't feel creative at that moment, but I want to make a card for some occassion. I can look up a stamp set I have and there is an example of a beautiful card finished, with that stamp. It really starts the creativety going or sometimes I just copy the picture. Either way the Catty is my favorite thing to use and browse through in the evenings.

Ditto to all and... I love the cases that the stamps come in, and that they come in a 'set'! There is not comparison out there! I can easily see them and store them! All the other individual stamps I've gotten are in a shoe box and i never even use them. My sets from even 10 years ago, (Iknow, I'm and 'old' stamper) are still in mint condition and I still find ways to use them (like scrapbook pages). I've hearted SU for a long time and still do!

I completely agree! I can't tell you how much time I have spent going through the catalogue. Just flipping through those pages has cost me a lot of money!

Ditto to all the above. I also like that SU really has such a variety of choices. From sports to flowers, holidays to fire fighter sets to Yukon - serious to totally cool

I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Again it's hard to pick just one thing, but what I love best is the quality of the mdse. The paper, ink, stamps, accessories, etc. very good quality and great prices!

I don't think I have ever looked thru the catty that I didn't find something I had overlooked before.

I love the quality of everything. I was going to use up all my old cardstock before ordering SU but it just doesn't measure up to SU quality.

I have a question though. No one told me or showed me (I could have seen it for myself but probably another Senior Moment) about taking the name of my stamp set sticker and putting it on my case. Now I have loads of sets that I don't have marked and I'm still new enough not to know them from memory.

Is there anyway I can order just the sticker portion of my stamp sets? I know I can write on them with a marker but I would rather try first to get the stickers.

Thanks!

EDITED TO SAY: Oops I just noticed this was something good just about stamps!

I have to agree with everything that has already been mentioned, but I also want to add that I love that I get to give my business to someone I know. I especially love the social opportunities that are built around SU and stamping as a craft. It is so much fun to get together for stamp camps, workshops or S10. I really look forward to these get togethers.

I decided to not read the above posts until after I said what my favorite thing about SU! is. That way its not influenced by all the other wonderful things that SU! offers. My very favorite thing about this company and their products is just the plain fact that we can have home parties and invite all our girlfriends, sit around and visit and eat munchies and play with some of the wonderful products that are so good, we don't have to be good

Hmmm... all that and I am not even a demo..... something to ponder I guess.

I decided not to read what everyone else posted until AFTER I posted my response...so here's what I love about SU!

~Mounting my own stamps- I use the cling method and keep them unmounted so SU! is perfect for this
~They are sold in sets....so I always have co-ordinating stamps without having to search all over
~48 (and soon to be more!) matching cardstocks, inks & markers
~It gets delivered to me from my fabulous demo

there are more I'm sure but these are the first 4 that popped into my head when I saw the title.

edited for typos

I gotta say I love everything! But the most love is for the variety of the stamp sets. I have bought stamp sets that I didn't really want right away so that I could demo and do camps with, next thing you know i'm at my desk creativity seeping from every pore and voila! I'm in LOVE! with that set. Its great because i've created wonderful cards and gifts to give away using sets i'd never thought i'd use personally.

Ok, does that pore comment sound gross?? Maybe I should say I have a beautiful aura of creativity surrounding me.

Great pricing.....sets are SO much cheaper than buying individually
They keep up with trends
Mount 'em yourself is SO much nicer!

I love danged near everything about SU! Except how long it takes Canadian demos to get their orders... ... but that's the way she goes!

It's hard to narrow it down!! LOL I really love to mount my stamps. I do it as soon as I get them, well, as long as my 22 month old ds is otherwise occupied.... He likes to steal them and run!!! When the stamp is mounted and the sticker is on, it's like they're really mine! I love the alphabet sets, they're so great because you never run out of vowels and have to think of something else to say that fits with what you have left!! lol
