Default Are Snap Stamps On Their Way "Out" ?

Hey Ladies,
I just recently bought a small set of the snap stamps. Then I noticed that Archivers had the numbers in their $1 bins not too long ago so they look like they are being clearanced. And my LSS only has a few left (less selection than before).

Are the snap stamps on their way out?

I hope not -- just got mine a few weeks ago and I love them. So versatile. My LSS has a little section called 'Nifty $1.50' and both the small casual and classic numbers were there. This is the first snap stamps my store has ever carried. One of the workers said that the owner had received a really good promotional special on them.

I believe they have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I tried to order another set from KTCrafts, but they were on backorder and then I got a refund saying they couldn't get anymore. I was able to find some though. Get them while you can ladies!

I've read that it is only the numbers that are being discontinued. The alphabets will still be produced.

Our new Archiver's also had them in their dollar bins, however, they were only the LARGE (at least 1 inch tall) number sets. No alphas. I am wondering if they were just there because nobody really buys them.

Ok maybe I need to make a small trip to the LSS after work to grab that one pack of alphas they have! I bought the $1 number sets at Archivers when I saw them.

Yay! My obsessiveness pays off... I had to buy them all when they came out!

I love them, so convenient, such perfect straight lines, I can't believe they are discontinuing them!

Saw this when I was browsing - they have all but one size in stock if anyone is looking for them!

Probably... since I just bought some. I'm usually "behind in the times" when it comes to stuff. (Although I did buy the Bind It All, Dreamkuts and Cuttlebug.)

I just got the 1/8" Casual numbers and letters, the 1/4" numbers and I'm waiting for the 1/4" letters.

1/8" = tiny
1/4" = small
1/2" = medium
1" = large

Ah Thanks Kimberly! I guess I have the small & medium and was getting really confused seeing them referred to as 1/8" and 1/4" etc.

I was told by an owner of a stamp store that Karen Foster is retiring Snap Stamps. Better get them while you can!

If they are being retired, this really is sad news! I love my snap stamps and have several sizes (most of them I have 2 sets so I can spell out more words.) Wonder if they will come out with something similar later on...

Ellen Hutson just verified that they are indeed retiring! If you don't like the idea of them retiring, you should email Karen Foster at [email protected] to let her know!!

When I talked to the owner of the shop I teach at, she said only the numbers were retiring...I'm amazed if they retire them all because she has such a hard time keeping them on the shelves!
