Default SKYPE

Hi,
I noticed this site is set up for Skype. There is a little Skype icon, but it is x'ed out. It is that internet phone call system (and with a videocam so you can see your long-distance fellow stamper). Does anyone have any experience with using Skype? If so, how do you like it? My sister and I live 3 hrs apart, but like to stamp together. We heard of some friends of friends who live across seas (over in Denmark) that hook up skype, sit in front of their terminal and play card for hrs at a time! I thought if I could do this with my sister, it would be great! Apparently, it is cheap?!

It's very cheap and very reliable. Several people have it at my work and use it daily to talk with our employees in Asia. I believe computer-to-computer calls are free, and computer-to-phone calls are very cheap, a few cents a minute.

We use Skype to talk with my sister-in-law in New Zealand. So far it has worked out perfectly. We talk computer to computer...no charge. Love it!

I used SKYPE while I lived in Brazil. It worked very well for talking to family and friends.

Where are you seeing the icon here on SCS? I must have missed that somewhere.

Smile Skype! yes it is great

We use skype to keep in touch with my family overseas. We can talk on the phone hooked up to the computer or use a webcam and see each other. I saw a message from skype that you could now call home phones in the US and CA I believe at no charge. It is well worth checking out their website. I pay nothing to talk to my family where I used to pay an arm and a leg. LOL
