There are 255 Secret Sisters!!! This project grew fast! I thought there might be 30 or so! LOL
Here are some “housekeeping? items.
Please, please no flakers! If you flake and we continue this after the first 3 months, You will not be considered for round 2. That out of the way…
If you’ve signed up, you are committing to sending the following:
3 month Secret Sister Swap - during the months of March, April, and May please send a minimum total of 3 cards (more cards are definitely welcomed and encouraged, but this is just the minimum). At the end of May please send your Secret Sister a gift that costs around $10. This gift may be stamping/scrapping supplies or handstamped item(s). Also tell your SS who you are when you send this gift. You may also send out small gifts during the 3 months. Feel free to do as much as you want, just be sure to meet the minimum requirement.
Robin (cravh) and Christine (Christine P) are coordinating this project. We have split the list, so if you have questions about your SS, need more info, or have been flaked, please let us know. If you receive your SS info from Christine, let her know. Same goes for Robin. We don’t have access to each other’s lists because she has my name on her list and vice versa. This way we get to play and still have it secret!
IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD FROM US, WE HAVEN’T RECEIVED YOUR INFORMATION (or in one case, I think I accidently deleted a PM) Please, if you have already PM’d and haven’t heard back from us, send me your info again. We have a few spots left!
Remember that this is not a “demo? swap. There will be people who don’t have a lot of stamping experience – we all were new once. There will be people who don’t use all SU! products. The important thing is that we are making someone’s day brighter.
Let’s get started!!
Robin (cravh) and Christine (Christine P)
Also, if you have questions and we don't respond in this thread, please PM one of us. This is the 3rd SS thread, and it is difficult to get back to them sometimes and answer all the questions.

Well, I have wanted to respond to this thread a few times and keep getting side tracked by all of your beautiful work. If it is not too late - and there are any spots left I would love to be in. THANKS!!
I am so excited - a got the name of my secret sister. I am going to turn this computer off and get started. (well, maybe not turn it off completely yet!).
This site is so hard to stay away from. I guess I am addicted too!

OK, I got my SS & now a quick few questions. Is it 3 cards per month or at least 3 cards per the 3 months? Also does the $10 gift have to be related to stamping or scrapbooking? Now off I go to get started.
Thnaks foir getting this going. It will be fun.

No less than 3 cards over the 3 months - more if you can! ie: 1 per month will suffice
Gift - since we have already posted that it should be stamping/scrap/craft related, I think we should keep it that way for this round. We can always change it in the future - if we keep doing this.
Have fun!

Her return name was Secret Sister05. I didn't look at her actual email addy because I don't want to know who she is!
You can set up something generic at yahoo or hotmail or msn. Just be sure to not use your name for anything ... signature, return name, or in the actual email.

I have a partner in crime, so to speak. Robin has done half of the list, hence half of the work!!!
Thank you Rene' for suggesting it! I think it is going to be a blast!
Hugs,
Christine

Christine and Robin,
Thanks so much for organizing this. I know it takes a lot of your time, but I really appreciate it. I'm so excited. Got my ss today and can't wait to put something in the mail on Monday.
Your work is appreciated!
First of all, let me say Thank You to Christine and Robin. This is a huge undertaking and I appreciate the two of you organizing this. I can't wait to get my SS name.
Now, for a two part question: Do the cards need to be our original designs and are they suppose to be cards for your SS or a card that can be used by your SS? I hope you understand what I am trying to ask here. Don't mean to be confusing. I am very new at all of this and I want to be certain to get it right.

Your cards may be original designs, written in or blank for your SS to use. If you send it blank, try to include a handwritten or typed note inside. There isn't anything I do that I haven't learned from SCS, so a bit of CASEing is usually a given for me. I don't consider most of what I do "original." Does that answer your questions? When I send a card, I usually write inside of it.

Those are the exact answers I was looking for. Thank you!
I would also like to add my thanks for all your work in organizing this!! I received my SS name and am anxious to send my first card this week. Thanks again.
Christine and Robin you both are awesome. I mean to set this up with about 170 people. I bow to your great organizing you both have wish I had at least 1/3 of it. I got my ss today and I am very excited!!! Thank you again for all of your hard work.

MY SS IS THE BEST! OK, check this out. She has set up an email through Yahoo strictly for this swap! I have no idea who she is. She has sent 2 emails and an awesome Harley Davidson e-card! She has also "introduced" herself in an email. So I know a little about her, but I don't know her identity!
This is going to be so much fun!!
Hugs,
Christine

Maybe next round we can get you to help out. (If we do a next round!)

Since 9/11 The Post Office "prefers" return addresses, especially if the envelope is "lumpy", like many of our cards tend to be! So the following suggestion from "luvtostampstampstamp" is the best idea.
And Thanks, Christine! Cuz I just got my Secret Sister info, too!

Thanks Christine! We do put our return add'ys on the envelope right, just no name/username right?
Return address should be something like:
Secret Sister Swap
123 Anyroad
Anytown, XX 00011
Thanks!

When I moved last year I needed to ship, and mail some items and documents. I wanted to make sure that if they got lost they did not return to my old address, so what I did was put my new address as the return address. So say my new address was
111 Main Street
New York, NY 11111
I also put that as the return address. So you can put your SS address as the return address as well. Hope that makes sense.
Cris
I was also going to say that you can put your SS's address in the return address spot, that way, the only clue she will have is the postmark.
Also, are we going to have a thank you thread up and running so that we can see if our letters were received? I asked this is another thread so I don't know if it was answered or not yet.

I hadn't thought about it. We can use this one, or we can start another. What do you all want to do?
Someone else mentioned a place to post cards. Thoughts?
