I've seen a lot of questions about a Sat get together, but have seen nothing posted. Is it just a Friday thing? I have to work on Friday and will drive up after work, so I won't get to Atlanta until probably 10 or 11pm. Obviously, that's too late for dinner on Friday. I'm bringing my 10 yo DS and my MIL (to babysit during meetings on Sat) so I won't have a lot of time, but would love to meet some faces to go with names.

I'm not able to plan a get-together for Saturday night. :( I know that I'll be exhausted after Friday night and then the meeting all day on Saturday. And DH is always anxious for me to get home! He's very protective of me and worries about me when he's not around ;) Love him!

Just wanted to say... We had such a blast in San Anotonio!! Meeting other SCS was soooo much fun. The dinner and swap that Jenn and Lila put together was even more fun than the seminar. IMO
I encourage all of you to get together! SCSers are SOOOO nice and friendly IRL. Have fun in the ATL!!!!!

I have a dear friend that is taking the Demo plunge! She will be joining me on Friday for SU! regional and I wondered if I could add her to your dinner and swap. She is a wonderful lady

Yes as of right now I will be attending Friday Regional during the day, coming to dinner with you fine folks and then attending again on Saturday
Sandy Brown (not sure she has a SCS id yet) will also be attending as a new Demo on to Friday Regional and for your Shoebox Swap and Dinner. Sandy is working on getting you payment ! Whew think I got it all straight! Thanks again for checking. Stacey
I'm attending the Friday session. Would love to meet & greet other SCSs - unfortunately, won't be able to do the dinner or shoe box swap. What's the plan for folks just wanting to meet?

So as far as regionals go, is there a way for us to recognize other scs's? Are are name tags from SU printed up? I guess we could all bring another name tag with a big SCS on it....anyone come up with any ideas?
I'll be curious with everyone I meet whether I *know* them from SCS or not.
Stacey is working on some ideas for name tags, kind of inline with what Laurel did last year for convention, where we'd make them ahead of time and mail them to those who want them. Of course there will have to be a feel involved since she'll have to purchase supplies and mail them. Paula and I have also volunteered to help.
Stacey is brainstorming on this now, and will get back to me asap. If she's not able to do it I have several sets I think would be appropriate. I don't know if I'd get around to using shrink plastic (because I haven't yet ;) ) but I think name tags would be a great idea.
As a last resort, we could all just use an alphabet stamp and stamp SCS and our username on our SU! tags ;) if they'd let us ... LOL
Keep watching for directions to the thread to sign up for the totally awesome name tags Stacey is making for us! They are so cool! We're going to have it as a separate thread so requests won't get lost.
I'm going Saturday - what are Saturday gathering plans. I also would like to get in for a name tag. AND I'm really dragging my feet on getting room reservation - any ideas of where to stay? THANKS!

I'm staying at the Marriott Marquis and I know some others are staying at the Westin...
I pulled DUH moment and didn't book room in a timely fashion - JUST DID IT! I'm staying at the Fairfield Inn and I'm coming by myself so I figured I can get me up and get moving as early as I want too! If I can get to Atlanta early enough, I would like to drop in and meet you all at your dinner/shoe box swap gathering. Ya know, just to make a grand entrance and say HEY Y'all! I can't confirm dinner and swap participation because I'm still working on kid sitting so that I can leave early. I'm actually in N. FL, just below Tallahassee. I'm going to check on where and when you are gathering and hope to see you there!
I won't be able to attend the Friday night event - I have to be back in Nashville for an 8:00 a.m. Meeting Saturday morning.
I'll be arriving Thursday probably around 7 and will be staying at the Best Western. Would love to meet some others that are attending on Friday. This is my first SU event and everyone else I know locally is going on Saturday.

The name tag link takes you into the demo-only forum. We posted it there since it's got Stacey's personal info in the thread. That way only a few thousand know it, instead of 35,000 ;)
If you're not a member of the demo-only thread, join it and then you'll be able to view the name tag info
I'm sending you a PM but wanted to respond here, too, for others to see. The Name Tag info is actually in the Demo-only User Group because it has Stacey's personal info in it. We at least limit who has access to that by keeping it in the demo section. If you click on the link and don't get taken directly to the thread, you'll need to sign up for the demo-section.
