I gave my DH a wish list for Hanukkah and very near the top of that list were 5 stamps from Rubber Romance. I even copied and pasted the following information from their web site to make it easy on him.
Call (714)527-7124, if you get our voice mail service please leave a Message with all information and include our telephone number with (area code) and we will call you back within 48 hours to confirm your order.
Well, he said they never called back so he went to the next thing on my list and I will not be getting these stamps after all. I am hugely disappointed. For those who have ordered from them, is this typical customer service for them or do you think he just slipped through the cracks?
I bought some for my self with my birthday money from their etsy shop online. I never used the phone number and no i found that she was very patient with me and answered all my questions up front. ( I had never made a etsy shop purchase before) and she pretty much walked me through it.
dang, I'd have him try again...
( or maybe you can do it after if you get money as gifts?)

I have ordered from Rubber Romance website, her Etsy shop and Eclectic paperie. I just add the stamps to my cart and check out. Why did he need to call? I am sure if he just goes on and completes the online checkout process he could get them on time for Christmas.
Is there a web site that I am not aware of? This is where I am going http://www.rubberromance.com/menu%20page.html
When I click on the information about ordering this is what I see: For your safety we have decided to allow you to fax your order or you can mail your order in. We DO NOT accept credit cards over the Internet at this time. We found most people prefer to fax or to mail their orders.
We will be happy to accept your credit card purchase via fax, phone or "snail mail".
Please read order form completely before you fax or mail it to us. Also, include your E-mail address, if available.

I see no option for a cart or online shopping at all. It says you have to call in your credit card number, they do not do it online at all so that is why I told him to call as per their instructions. Are you going to a different site that has an online purchasing option and where you can pay by credit card? I would love to have this site. Thanks so much.
I am probably a big dork and way behind the times. The first person who responded said something about "etsy". I just thought she typed easy wrong but than Jodi said the same thing so I goggled "etsy shop rubber romance" and got nothing. I am sorry but what the heck is etsy?

Jen, you know I had gotten some of the stamps directly from Rubber Romance (the site you posted), but realized a friend did the ordering so I figured she had done it online.
I order from the Etsy shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id...ion_id=&page=1 This is the actual Rubber Romance lady, but I think she opened up the Etsy shop so people WOULD have an online option to buy. On this site, you can add to the cart and check out KWIM? The Etsy shop has some images that Eclectic Paperie doesn't, but I have bought many from EP also. Here is their link: http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/rurounru.html
Keep in mind, in the Etsy shop, she only sells unmounted. I prefer them that way, but you might not. Eclectic Paperie offers them mounted and unmounted. Of course mounted is double the price.

I *think* it is an online merchant place. It seems like there is more hand made stuff than anything in the little shops. I am not 100% sure on that, but the ones I have seen are more "boutique" type places. It's kind of like having an ebay store I believe. Maybe someone who is more knowledgeable on Etsy will chime in. LOL
I have ordered direct from Rubber Romance a few times .... and I think their service is fantastic ... I didn't know about their etsy store ... so I will bookmark that for future reference.
In the past I have just sent my order by snail mail the addy is on their site ... it takes a week from Australia to get there ... and last time I had my order back in my hands before the 2 week period was finished which I think is pretty good going ... they must have sent it the same day they received it.
Just wanted to say that I don't believe she just sells "unmounteds" on ETSY. I was one of the first to order from her there and she actually only had a few stamps listed and they were all mounted. I emailed her and asked if she sold unmounteds and she began listing them not long after. I have ordered from her three times on ETSY...each time I have made special requests for a particular stamp that she doesn't have listed and she will list it for me. She is fantastic to work with and her shipping is only $2 (unmounteds) for any amount! HIGHLY recommend buying from her shop!
the stamps i purchased i bought direct from the lady who designs the images on etsy ( i followed a link at two peas once to the store) her screen name there is burnt cookie
and i bought my stamps wood mounted.
i asked for a quote and a shipping quote and she put it together as an "special order for Stacy" and i bought it and 8 days later it was in the mail box.
hth,
Thank you all for your help. I guess my husband's call directly to Rubber Romance just got lost in the shuffle but I know that kind of thing happens to me all the time. He is done shopping for me for Hanukkah but I will definitely be going to eclecticpaperie and ordering myself. I see that they sell the 5 stamps that I had been looking for.
We are having such a nice Hanukkah so far. We are going to a Hanukkah party tonight. Latkes is a traditional dish made on Chanukah and because it is potatoes fried in oil, I have been holding out until tonight since I am on a diet. I can just taste them now. Yummy!!
