Smile Quick Comment

I saw a month or so ago that a moderator made a request that cards not be uploaded without a recipe or description. There are still alot of cards being uploaded without any information. I'm aware that it is a pain to key all of the details. But for people just getting started in stamping (or just getting started using SU products) the information is wonderful. I especially like to see what colors of inks were used and what techniques were used. Remember, some of us (probably more than you think!) are in awe of what you did, and are inspired to CASE! Have a GREAT day stamping while I am stuck here at work!

I'm challenged in this area as I buy most of my supplies at dollar stores. I don't have but 4 ink pads and I only got those last week.

My brain works in a simple way . . . . Ink used? yup LOL Papers used? yup used some of that too. Technique? ummm did a challenge, why don't you go see it too? LOL Stamps? yup . . . got them at the dollar store.

I will strive to provide better information though as I also often see something I like and wonder "how did they do that?"

I couldn't agree more. I'm always interested to know what colors poeple have used. So many times it looks like completly different colors on my computer screen, so it's nice to know what they really are.

And what makes it more difficult is that some members here do not respond to messages regarding card details. Sometimes I could love to know about a specific detail on their card.

Thank you for your post - I've been thinking the same thing. I will not make a comment on any card without information. While I love the RAKs that are posted, they usually don't have info with them. Maybe the people who send the RAKs could post them with the information....????

I feel exactly the same way! It is frustrating not to have any info!

I agree with Joanne. I have always received the help I needed.

On the other hand, some of my cards are lacking info because lots of my stamps came from garage sales or ebay grab-bags. I have no idea who manufactured them. Now that I have some SU ink, I try to remember to include that info. But sometimes my brain goes bye-bye....

I am not 100% sure, but I think that when you are uploading an RAK and choose that option, it does NOT give you the oppurtunity to fill in the info on the card. Plus.....you may not really know what supplies were used....kwim?

That's what happens to me often as well. Or I'll put the brand of ink (Staz On or SU!) but neglect to mention the color. I have a whole bin of markers that I use for watercoloring which are unmarked, as the info on colors/manuf. were once on the box. I neglect to sort my paper, but although I know it's SU paper, I forget the color names. I often need to go back to the catty to find the color name (was it from the rich regal assortment or earth elements?)

But I try...

I agree, at least post what stamp company you used, some of us might want to buy it I've stopped leaving comments on cards that don't have at least the basic info, sorry if that's rude but it bugs me

Good thread. I agree that the info is very helpful. I also know that sometimes people just don't have it to post.

I have found that if you go look at the stamping blogs people put tend to put very detailed instructions, and pictures with their cards. I have learned a lot of techniques and gotten many great ideas from reading blogs.
