I LOVE the look of clean and Simple..But I think people in Swaps feel cheated if a card isn't layered and embellished to the nines. So I am a "medium"
(some layers, some embellies, some ribbon I am much simpler for my non swap
cards because my non stampin friends have no expectations LOL) With one exception.... They LOVE "Zindorf" style cards!!!

Well I think you have alot of lovely lovely cards in your gallery.

The one thing I did notice is you make the same card, just changing stamp sets and color of ribbon quite a bit. They do work really well and look very nice. But, maybe that's what has you feeling blah or tired of them, the repetition.

So my suggestion is that you look for new card designs instead of relying on the ones you have. While they do work, you feel blah about them.

Sue, checked out your gallery and thought your cards very elegant and striking. I especially liked Halloween House and one you did about quilting. Myself, I have an art background and although I am no where as talented as many of the names on here we know, the minute I look at their cards I can tell I am looking at something done by a person with a great deal of artistic talent and good eye. There are other cards I look at that are just a jumble of things all over. They can be well done, using perfect technique but I can still see immediately they do not have an artistic eye.

I would barely change anything you are doing other than to pop them more at times with color as many others have suggested. It is hard for me to tell in the pictures but another suggestion if you are not doing so might be to emboss a simple raised line design around your image, in addition.

I so want a Scor-Pal to make this easier! It's a great idea.

I started this thread a long time ago and am happy to see it revived. Methinks I need to update the word doc to include the new ideas that have been added. ;)

Susan - I checked out your gallery - I have to say you are an expert in single layered cards. They are very creative and love your color choices. I think color choice in single layer cards is important. Your work is great! Keep up the great work and don't underestimate your ability!
