It may not solve your delivery problem but for a mere $.75 you can add delivery confirmation on your package and then you will KNOW if it truly got to its destination.

Tiffany, it is well-worth the price to use priority mail with delivery confirmation when you mail your swaps. Yes, it does get spendy, but not as much as sending out swaps that never arrive, kwim?

Stick the cards into a zip-lock baggie and then into a flat-rate envelope. Put your return postage in the baggie with your cards, depending on what the hostess prefers, of course.

Swaps can be a lot of fun, but everything does go much more smoothly when you go the extra mile with the details...

That can be discouraging and I am sorry about hearing that. I have been participating in the ATC swaps for a few months now and have really loved it. I am hosting my first swap, called Time for a Swim, if you want to join it would be great to have you-

I have done a few Splitcoast swaps each year since I joined. Never had a problem with any items getting lost in the mail.

Did the post office send them back to you?
If both of the swaps you did were to the same hostess, perhaps she made a mistake in giving you her address.

Or were they "lost" in transit? I hope we don't have any flaky hostesses who just keep the swap cards. Hmmmmm..... haven't heard of that happening.

Hope you will try again! Swapping can -- and should -- be fun.

I agree with using delivery confirmation and maybe even insure them or something. If you're having a problem with them, it may be worth spending a bit more to make sure it gets to it's place and if it doesn't....it's insured. That's too bad....I've not had any problems with swaps yet. Don't give up...they can be so much fun!

This is a little off the general topic, but the problem I'm currently having with a swap is not getting my images. I'm new to swapping and I'm very frustrated---the swap deadline was February 15th. After a long time of hearing nothing from the hostess, she contacts me and another swapper to say our stuff was misplaced in her room! Good grief!!! 2 months after the deadline, and still no images...
