Default Prismacolor owners!!

I've had my Prismas for quite awhile now. First I got a set of 24 and loved them, and got a good deal on the BIG set. Now, I'd love to know what pencils match our SU colors! Is there anyone who has the time and energy and curiousity to untake this challenge?? Maybe you could make a list of SU colors and next to them close matches of Prismacolors, listed by color and number. <G> I'd give it a try, but my Prismas aren't even sharpened yet!!

Too bad we can't demo with these!

So what's so great about the Prisma colors? I guess I'm asking why I need these :-)

They are artist-quality color pencils, which, according to everyone who owns them, are the BEST!!! They also had a rebate and a deal on Viking, so many SCS'ers bought them recently. There are 120 colors, so there's bound to be colors to match our 48 colors!!

You know what Sue? I am gonna sit while DS is doing his homework, and see if I can make some matches...I will match them with the chart in the newest catty..maybe some others should do it, too, just to compare notes..Kerilou

I will be back with an update...

As opposed to the chart in the catty, do you have the markers? If I had mine already I would match them to my markers.

I'm feeling jumpy, kinda nervous like, like I missed a big sale I shouldn'ta! That list looks cool, those colors sound yummy, can I still do a viking sale & get a rebate? I'm not good at coloring w/ an artistic look, but maybe those colors would pull out the real artist in me?

I stink at coloring!!! I must have flunked that in Kindergarten!! However, I just received my Gamsol, Stumps, and erasers from www.misterart.com (my Prismacolor Pencils are backordered from Viking) and played with the stuff using "Crayola Pencils" (LunarLana used these so I know they work). Guess what??? I can color, I can really color and it doesn't look too bad!! I can't wait to get the Prismacolor pencils. I just could never get the hang of the blender pens and using the stumps with the Gamsol is soooooo much better!!!

You gals have gotta try it, you'll love it!!!

Default prisma colored pencils

Are these still on sale with viking? Does anyone have the code? I didn't think I "needed" them but after reading so much good stuff I think I really must have them.

For those who want the rebate, I don't think you can do that. You must have it in by the 31st. But you can still get the pencils, people are still ordering them. You can get them for $36.00. Here is the information.

QL2-3602 Prismacolor pencils 120 count - 56.98

DZ2-PRD20 for $20 off a $50 order. (there have been some posts that you can only use this offer once)

*Remember if you have trouble getting the promotional deals online, you can call them at
1-800-421-1222

Below is the information on the rebate, but I really think it is too late for you.

also check Forums at Splitcoaststampers for info on $25 rebate on these pencils!!!

I am really upset with Viking. When I ordered the Prismacolors on the 15th, I was told b/o would be in 5-7 days. Ok, I could handle that. I had used my $20. discount previously so couldn't use it on this. Still no pencils, called today and they will not be in until 2/11 - so I am going to miss out on the $25. rebate as well. I don't know why, but this is the way my luck usually goes. Can anyone else relate to this?

You can get Prisma color pencils at Michael's, you can buy a couple of individual pencils for $1.25 or so each and see if you like them. (YOU WILL) or you can use a 40% off coupon from the paper and try a set of 12 or larger. I'm not sure how that compares with the Viking deal, but worth a try if you live close to one. The pencils are great!!!!! You will feel and see the difference!!! thanks for posting the color comparisons!!

I just got mine from Viking today! (Had to order the smaller size - the 120 pack was on backorder, so I figured I'd go with a cheaper package first to see if I like them.) I've read that they're excellent for coloring black and white photos - I can't wait to try 'em out!

Wow - the color chart is awesome - thanks! I've got my pencils, stumps, and some odd brand of spirits, but haven't even started sharpening yet!

Default Prismacolor

If I were to order the 120 set, would that mean that I got 120 different colors? That would be great!

FYI, I put in an order to Viking yesterday and specifically asked about the $20 off $50 purchase, and she went and took a look at the details and told me that it expired 1/29 and that you could only use it once. So if you want to get that deal, you had better be putting your order in like right now ...
