Hello Linda! Doing alright here. Hope you are doing alright too!
I have a PIF to offer. It is 16 empty cd cases. They work great for storing unblocked rubber stamps (bare rubber). Just let me know if you could use them. I can only mail in the U.S.. No Longer Available....

I have a new in package stamp set up for grabs. It's from Fun Stampers Journey, set of 2 stamps, called Save the Date. One stamp is head and shoulders of what I assume are the bride and groom (solid so no coloring) and the other stamp says save the date.
I've had it several years and have never even unsealed it, so it certainly won't be missed around here!
PM me if you want it.
Love to you all.

Hi Arlene,
Just got my PIF stamps, thank you so much! I already have ideas on how to use them but won't be able to play in my craftroom until next week as we're in the middle of replacing all the floors in the downstairs , argh. Had a dishwasher that leaked and ruined all the flooring and part of the cabinets. I'd MUCH rather be stamping!

Wow! that was fast!! I have had a week of repairs, dog grooming, ordering and picking up stain, and lots of errands. Next week I should have someone here re-staining the pergola. It's always the little stuff that seems to take the most time. I will be glad to have it behind me. I've been trying to find some time to craft, too.
Arlene, sounds like you've been busy too. When people hear about our flooring project, they say they wish they could replace their floors too. But it's only fun if you are replacing because you want to. Otherwise, it's a chore! We had to empty all cupboards, china cabinet, bookshelves etc and move furniture because the floor is continuous with the dining and living room too, argh. My husband and I have completely different taste as well, so trying to compromise on flooring is so stressful.
That's what I love about crafting...it's all mine, hah!
Karen
Cd cases are still available. They work good to hold bare rubber stamps. I cut the centers out of some of them, so I could store dies in them.
Can only mail in the U.S.
My PIFs are postal. DH was home last week and his errands and chores take priority so I did not make it to the PO.
Got your PIF stamp set today. Will use it a lot for family birthday cards. Thanks so much Arlene.

Not getting any bites on the cd cases, so I will offer them to the site just in case someone might can use them. Hate to throw them out.
I know what you mean about not wanting to just toss them. I have a lot of them as well, even after using some for unmounted stamps. Finally actually tossed some last week and it just about killed me!

This is one I think I am going to try. I think it would be good for inks or markers, etc...
So I am going to hold onto them, as there were no requests. I'll see if this project works or not.

I shouldn’t have watched that!! Cause now I have to go ask my hubby if he still has any colored CD cases, cause I think those would look even spiffier then the clear ones.
You could always insert a piece of pretty scrapbook paper inside them or attach paper to them.
Angie, that is so neat! Lambs and baby chicks are so cute!

Oh my gosh, those cubes look amazing! I'm kind of wondering how the hot glue would hold up though, but it's worth a try. I know just what I'll use them for already. I have been stacking my markers by stacking them horizontally in a cardboard box turned on its side. They fall out unless I wedge a small notebook under the front of the box to tilt it a bit. The cardboard is bulging out and it's ugly beyond imagination! These would be sturdier and much nicer looking. Now I have a new project and will be digging through my cabinets to find old CD cases. I know I threw some out and just hope I have enough..argh!

Hi Kazeka, I have nine left if that helps. JLMK!
Here is how mine turned out. I glued the inserts to the backs for stability and to keep things from falling out of the back.

Wow, those look great and would be so much better than what I'm using now. Good idea to glue the inserts to the back. I'm going to dig through my boxes and see how many I have, and give it a try. Now I'm excited! From trash to treasure...and that's how I became a craft hoarder.

I would be interested in anything Disney. I could also use cowboy/cowgirl and dog items if you are clearing any of those out. I'd be happy to send you money to cover the postage.
So far 3 crafters have sent me adresses for mailing--deadline will be Sunday evening> Glad these "treasures" will get used by someone
***Friday update--4 responses as of this morning, any more takers let me know by Sunday evening-happy to send to anyone who can make use of them!!!

Interested in this swap, just want to make sure I understand. When I have things I am ready to part with I can just offer them here and then it's first come, first served??

Hi Kate,
Welcome to the PIF thread! Yes, that's about how it works. You can offer something up, and the sender pays postage to mail it out. From what I understand, the expectation is that you are expected to offer something up yourself within a reasonable period of time in return (to Pay it Forward). It's a chance to pass on those items that you may not use anymore, to someone who will enjoy them.
If anyone else has any other details or information, please hop in!
Karen
Glad the mail is going thru--hope you all have fun with these.
"One crafter's trash is another's treasure"--and I'm inspired to use what I've discovered during my purge
I am looking to give away a set of 12 tins that are brand new, never been used. The lids are clear plastic and each tin measures approximately 5.5 inches x 3.5 inches, with a depth of approximately 3/4 inches. I will, of course, pay postage.
I very recently retired; however, when I was employed, I used these tins as gifts for my co-workers' holidays, birthdays, and other occasions, I decorated them and used them to house treats. Sometimes, I would alter them so that miniature scenes showed through the clear top. Retirement has changed all that, so I have kept a few tins for myself to use as storage containers, and am offering the others to anyone who could use them. Following are pictures of the top, back side, and open.
Thank you for any interest.

Reason: ITEM NO LONGER AVAILABLE
I have a small collection of Idea-ology items looking for a new home: pen nibs, timepieces, gears, ball and chains, number plaquettes, large and mini hinges, filigree pieces, clock keys, metal word adornments, box corners, ring fasteners, round lock clasps, etc. Although I still enjoy using such items on projects, I have during this crazy time been focusing more on cards for causes, so I do not need as many embellishments. I will, of course, pay the postage.
Thank you, TAKEN (stampergrl) -- NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Hi Kate, I have a variety of brands in everything I have; inks, stamps, dies etc... I know some people like to stick to one collection, but I have a mix of stuff. I have several brands of colored pencils; I love colored pencils!
I saw your earlier question. When someone wants to share something that they no longer use or have extra, they just include it in a post here and add the picture. You may need to use the paperclip icon to add the picture. Then whoever is interested will either post or send a private message (PM) to let you know they want the item. Then you let them know if they were first or not to respond, and they will PM their address info. Then the person who made the offer will mail the item to that person. I usually mention in the post, that I can only mail in the U.S., as I have gotten requests to send to other countries before, and i wasn't able to do that. It is not an actual swap, as it does not have to be of equal value or the same type of items. The person who receives the item is expected to list something later, and that helps to keep it going. Hope that wasn't too wordy! lol.
Welcome! Good to have another crafter to chat with in our group!
So nice to see all the new posters here. I think Ravioli Girl and the others who used to be with us here would have been happy to know it is still going! Was Ravioli Girl the one who started the Pay It Forward here? I can't help but remember her and some of the others that have passed; such sweet and kind people!
So glad there are still such nice people posting and joining in.
Hi All! I have a couple of items up for grabs!
A new sheet of rub ones by Paper house productions, and a gently used SILICONE Polynesian stamp set. TAKEN Please P. M . Me if you would like either one or both!!

I don't know if she participated in the PIF thread or not. But I agree that she was a kind, generous and all-around wonderful gal! It is good to know that all these years later she is still thought about. I hope she's looking down and realizes what an impact she had on us all.
