Default Papercrafts Gingerbread Card

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone seen the gingerbread house card in the current issue of Papercrafts? I would like to use the template for my cards this year, however, the finished card comes out very large. Larger than any standard size envelope. Has anyone had any success in making this? Did you enlarge it the recommended 333% or did you make it smaller to fit a business size envelope?? I don't want to make the card too small to fit the envy. Any thoughts??

THanks!!

Hi Kelly, That card is so cute! Did you see up in the top right hand corner of the page that it says the finished card is 6 x 91/2; this must be the size you ended up with if you enlarged it as they suggest; I think to get a standard size you'd only have to enlarge it by about 200%, maybe a little more. I hope you'll upload it when you're done!

I tried enlarging the pattern but ended up wasting too much paper and gave up.
I think its a really cute card, tho.

I made the card with their pattern and was really delighted with it until I realised it'll never fit any envelope. Unfortunately I've given my magazine away and don't have the original template anymore to try a smaller enlargement :(

I went through my magazine and couldn't find the card you are all talking about. What month are you looking at and what page is it on. I subscribe to the magazine and the latest one I have is Novembers.

I am curious to see the card - because you know - we all need another Christmas Card to make

Hi,

It's on page 45 of the November issue. We have to come up with a way to scale it so it fits an envelope without losing anything.
