Can you tell me what comes in the box? For example, is ink included or is it paper and stamps only? One of the examples shows a scalloped edge on the card. Do they assume you have a way of making the scalloped edge or does a punch come with it? Thanks!

I was just on their site. If you click on frequently asked questions which is off to the left, the first item that comes up is what is included in the boxes. I didn't spend alot of time but did notice it listed supplies enclosed in each box size.

Hi,
The card design for the March box included a scallop circle. These circles were included. Christie and her husband actually cut them out by hand - 800 of them!! Talk about service! WOW!
I received my box last week and am very pleased with it. On her site she lists exactly what's included in each box so you can make an informed decision about whether or not to join.
I've already made a few different cards with the items from the March box... they can be seen on my blog if you're interested.
I signed up for the big box starting in May. I can't wait to see what's in it! I figure this is a good way to keep on top of those Bellas. How long does it take to receive your membership log in information?
I decided on the big box because where I am it is difficult to get supplies unless I buy them online. I figure this way I will have supplies shipped to me which is good and I don't really have to worry about it! I would have gone with the basic or mini box if it was easier for me to get patterned paper and things like that.
I joined Paper Pretties and I love it! I am getting the Basic Box, and so far so good...maybe one day I will either get the MFT box or upgrade...we'll see, it depends on the money situation really. I love everything in the boix, so far i have used Daintybella a million times and created to cards with the supplies in my box...I can't wait to make more!
So... for a box, the price is around $20 a month + $13 shipping??? I'm wondering if it is worth cost, or is it better just to order a bella each month?

You get a lot of stuff in your box for that price... more than just the Bella stamp, so I think it's definitely worth it.

I'm right there with you sistah!! I just went to their site to see about the MFT boxes and when I saw that the shipping was 65% of the cost of the smallest box, I almost choked. People complain about Stampin' Up charging 10%. Something is wrong there. IMO if the contents are worth 33 dollars, then charge that, don't charge 20 and then a ridiculous amount to ship it. Seriously I have shipped stuff to Canada and it doesn't cost that much. That and with the exchange rate, what is she getting? LIke 18 dollars for shipping cdn? Crazy. I just posted a thread on this topic, hoping to get some insight on why people are willing to pay 65% shipping. Maybe someone in the US needs to create a similar company with cheaper shipping...hmmmmm ;)
Sorry Ladies: I appreciate all of your comments, the shipping on the mini box is $8.00 and yes, that is what it costs to ship. The 13$ is a typo which I am going now to fix. I'm sorry if you think the shipping costs are too high, but we do not make any money on our shipping. What the shipping costs are is what it actually costs us. For more on this topic, feel free to check out this link: http://www.paperpretties.net/2007/01/faqs.html
Thanks Christie

I know what you mean about companies/individuals overcharging on shipping. But in this case, the shipping is quite fair. I subscribe to the big box and the shipping label actually had the amount on it. It was right around $13 give or take a few cents. Plus, you have to figure in the cost of the box itself and the packing materials needed. So, in this case, I really don't think she is making a profit from the shipping charges!
These boxes are amazing...I love mine and can't wait for the next to come. I would never move from Paper Pretties to another company simply because of the shipping costs. I look at not only shipping cost but what I'm getting for it...both product and service and you can't beat what Christie has for us!
Even though the boxes are heavy, she has to put it in a funky box to get the 12x12 paper to lay flat so that will make the shipping price go up a little too. Just some food for thought.

I saw this thread and read what all of you had to say about the Paper Pretties Card box club. I joined it as soon as I heard about it so I was lucky enough to receive my fist box in March. A few of you were concerned about the price of shipping. At first I was hesitant about joining for that reason. So I sent a letter off to Christie. Once she explained the cost to me I understood and said sign me up. There is another company that I want to buy from that is located in Canada and her shipping to the US is 8.00 and as the weight goes up so does the shipping price. I also understand that. These women are in business and need to make some type of profit. If they charged us less on shipping then they would lose money. Not cool! All of that being said here is how I feel about what I received in my box. I got my Bella stamp, 6 scallop circles, 6 round circles, 6 cut out strips of very pretty card-stock that has a lovely pattern to it, 6 cut and scored cards,6 envelopes.A total of 8 pieces of beautiful Card-stock. Some plain and some with beautiful designs that all go together. 9 feet of coral grosgrain ribbon, 6 feet of of Ivory ribbon. 20 clear gems, glitter, a paper piercer a bella sentiment and a Cardbackbella Stampingbella stamp. There was also a bonus in my box. By the way, the box is very much like a pizza box. It is very durable and I still have all of my things inside of it. As much as I like to shop I have to say that I loved getting a box filled with every thing matching so that I can I make 6 very pretty cards. And someone else did all of the planning and most of the work for me.
I apologize for this long post but some of you had some questions about the shipping cost and the contents of the box. Again, I was hesitant to join but I am so very happy that I did. I am in no way disappointed with the box that I received. I am anxiously waiting for my April box. Don't forget that when you join the club you also get other membership privileges. Check it out at : www.Paperpretties.net I hope this helped. One last thing. Thank you Christie for the excellent products and the wonderful service I have received from you and still do.
The scallop circles are awesome! I can't believe they cut those out by hand (I feel guilty!). I love that I can grab the box and get to work. Sometimes I just need everything prepared for me! It's great when I want to do something at work but can't take the time to figure it all and pack it all up, cut the paper etc.

What was your surprise? I got my march box too and am so happy with it. I am seriously thinking on getting the MFT stamps card box too.
I was late signing up so I won't get my box until May but I really can't wait! I looked at the card of the week today and you April box gals are going to have a ball! I'll have to live vicariously through you! lol
Yay...I'm so glad there are so many of you girls telling about these boxes! I am a guest designer for May and I'm telling you the only way I can makes fun cards is by the wonderful things Christie puts in our boxes!
I have ordered the MFT box for may and I am dying to get that coffee set! I'll share it with you Julie Christie is such a diligent and honest lady I am honored to be a part of something like this!
I may just have to get that MFT box....I've been thinking about it for some time now....I already have the Bella Basic Box...so should I updade to the "Big Box" or get the MFT "Mini Box"? Any thoughts?
scrappersister - you described what came in your box, which size box were you talking about?
Was also wondering, how do they pick the bella stamp that goes in there? I have yet to buy any but I want certain ones. Are they just putting in new ones as they are created or are they going to use ones from the existing stock?
This sounds like a fun thing! I'd like to try at least one month to see how I like it.
