I was wondering if you ladies who have had any experience with hiring someone to help organize your spaces would mine sharing with me how much it cost.
A good friend of mine is coming to help me finish my craft space. They are in a very tight space financially so I'm going to pay her, but don't know how much. I don't want to pay her too much have her upset by feeling it's charity but I don't want to under pay her either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
And if it makes a difference we live outside of Baltimore.
I would think a dollar or two more than minimum wage per hour would be sufficient if she assisting you in the organizing. If she is doing it on her own, you may want to give her more.

I am not a full time organizer but have done paid jobs. I have received as little as $10 per hour and as much as $25 per hour. Plus they buy all supplies needed and basically work with me(in order to deceide what goes and stays). It basically works just like the show clean sweep. Hope this Helps!
I have a friend who is one (Dallas area)...and she charges $35/hr..but says the normal rate that others charge is $65/hr. I actually used her one day (I had won her services in a charity auction event)...and she worked with me 5 hours, and it was actually well worth it (even if I had to pay her $300).
She was quick, and taught me some tricks, and made me think about things differently than I had before. She also hauled away a van load of crap for me....it was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. She also had an excellent knowledge of storage organizer type things and was able to steer me to stores that would meet my tastes...saving me lots of gas and time chasing everywhere. She also had some awesome suede storage bins that she sold me for a very reasonable price that I haven't seen anywhere else.
In one day, working with her, I was able to get a "fresh lease on life"....organize a storage area that had really been getting me down, and would have taken me days....not to mention, I wouldn't have been able to throw away as much of the stuff. The most important thing (besides the quick gratification!) is that I've been able to maintain it for a whole year now !!! I sure don't have any other area in my house that still looks in order after 12 months!!!)
I'm thinking about having her come back to help me with my laundry room...I just keep trying and trying, but just can't get it under control!
I'm thinking I'm going to see how long we end up working. She's bringing her girls and I'm buying lunch.. so I'm thinking I'll start off looking at $50 and go up from there depending on how long it takes
Thanks again!
(I'm just so excited about finally having my office COMPLETELY clean!!!)
Im wanting to redo my office, as in have the walls replaced in book shelves, and one of the walkins made into a crafting center, and the other walkin made into a sewing center, and some how hide the bathroom door as a bookcase. Like if you didnt know it was there, you wouldn't notice it...
I have it all drawn out on paper, but no idea who to call to get an estimate on how much the renovations will cost! LOL...
*sigh* a girl can dream I guess...
