You know, I'm glad I found this link and the template....my friends and I have a joke concerning a thong....a gal we knew wore a pair to bunco one night and we saw them sticking out of her jeans all night...then one of my braver croanies went up and snapped the gals thong....it was hysterical! (One of my personal pet peeves is seeing someones thong showing out of the top of their pants)
I think this month, I'm gonna make this card and send it to the ladies as a reminder of such a funny night lol
Wish I had played along last night, I will definately play in the next VSN...
To the OP: I am sorry you were offended, we all do have varying tastes, don't we.....

Reason: fixin' the flippin typo's... what else?
I dont like these cards at all but that is my personal opinion. I just dont look at stuff that doesnt appeal to me. I know that there are many different people and styles here...just look at those I choose to. JMHO. Nobody is forced to look at what they do not like.
Blessings.
Barbara, first of all, thank you very much for sharing your opinion on some of last night's gallery uploads. I wanted to share some background about why there's so much lingerie in the gallery this morning . . .
I know this weekend's coordinators and hostesses worked really hard over the last several months to put together a fun Girls Night Out-themed virtual stamping weekend. From the gallery uploads I've seen, it seems like everyone who participated had fun! One of the challenges was to put on your "Big Girl Panties" and you can see that challenge thread here. It was all meant in good fun. If you've never heard of VSN, check out this thread for more info. Imagine stamping for hours with your girlfriends - a real blast if you can participate!
Every now and again, we see a resurgence of bra/panty/lingerie cards, and sometimes, yes, we do get some artsy nudes. If an upload is deemed pornographic (and yes, we do really discuss these things!), we will remove it from the gallery and contact the poster to explain why their upload was removed. Should anyone ever see something in the gallery that's questionable, please report the upload. There's a "Report Photo" link under every upload. We'll look into it and if needed, take care of it. Hope that helps!
Just reiterating . . . ;)
And, while I have never participated in VSN, it sounds like this one would have been right up my alley--these are cards my girlfriends and I would have a blast exchanging and sharing some good laughs over!

Holy cow! Has the poster who was offended by the naked women holding hands ever been to a museum? That card looked like a portion of a Grecian frieze! Who was the famous Justice of the Supreme court who stated that " I can't define pornography, but I know it when I see it"?
I tought that the cards were cute and was not offended at all.
Jutta
It was Justice Potter Stewart who wrote that famous line.
I've really debated with myself whether to join in here and decided to go for it!
I am very very shy and prudish when it comes to certain topics.*** While I do not find the cards offensive, I am uncomfortable with sexualized cards and banter. I remember seeing JulieHRR's "a brief note" card with the cute boxer shorts and thinking, gee, I wish I could be comfortable with this stuff because it is clever and adorable, but I'm not.
So, I understand the OP's point of view.
*** See Freud for further discussion...

I'm participating in the Lingerie & Chocolate swap, and we've been having a total blast chatting about our cards and what we're doing with them. As many before me have said, we're all adults here, if you aren't comfortable with some of the items, just move on. One of the tennets of the Constitution of the United States is freedom, and we're all free to choose what's right for us. That's why I oppose censorship. Look at what you can see on British TV- Whooee! they get away with a lot, and somehow their country isn't crumbling away from moral decay! If it isn't your style, don't look. All of the cards I've seen so far have been imaginative, funny, artistic, and had a lot of creative effort put into them. Bravo, stampers!!! Isn't it about having fun?
I'm glad that people feel free to speak up if something bothers them. None of us needs to defend ourselves - it's just a difference of opinion.
You Loose Women, You :-D
I agree with this..the poster does have an equal right to her opinions, same as we do these are a departure from the norm. I think they are hilarious but can see where another my find them offensive. It's a matter of personal comfort levels.
oooh my word!!! If you do not want to look, click on the next tab!!! And if you think that is repulsive you should see the cards we made at stamp away camp!!! What punches can do
Other than that, I love them!!! I now know what my husbands Valentines card will look like!!
To each his own I guess. I'm sorry the op wasn't comfortable with the cards. I myself did participate in it and I didn't think anything of it.
I did a bright yellow one with red poka dots.
When I read the challenge all I thought about was that commercial with the girl dieting and the "itsy teeny weeny yellow poka dot bikini". ;)
I think its great that we all have different taste and opinions. Thats what makes this site so awesome!!
I also agree that if something bothers you then skip over that card....or if you look at one and it bothers you don't look at anymore with the same title.
JMHO
I think they are awfully cute myself but I respect your feelings on the matter. That is why I censored myself before being asked to when I created the second Frosty Twisted card. If people want to see the uncensored version, they have the chance to view it elsewhere but for people who don't want to, they don't have to. I'm not saying that these panties ones need to be censored, my cards were just a bit more blatant and it was understandable that they needed to be censored for the good of this wonderful site.

While I don't care for them, I can't say I'm necessarily offended by that particular gallery. I'd be more offended if someone gave me something like that as I would *hope* friends and family know my tastes.

I have to say, I thought all of the ideas were fabulous and very funny. I too now have a lot of cute and what I consider tasteful ideas for the dear boyfriend. So many cards are just for the ladies. By the way, we aren't exactly spring chickens either.
The vsn really caught my attention and looked like it would be a lot of fun for this retired school marm. I am conservative and believe me all of these posts were not in the least bit offensive. In fact, I hope to see a lot more!!!!
I personally want to thank the brave sole who started this entertaining thread. I think we all respect her opionion! Many of us are really enjoying reading through the comments, myself included! I also would have missed the great stuff made had I not seen this thread. I am not personally offended but do understand where you are coming from.
So thank you for being honest and sharing with us. I respect your opinion as well as the others!

I've never posted anything before but felt the need this time. I think some of the responses to Barbara's question were insensitive. She asked a simple question and instead of a simple reply she got a lot of throw back that could really hurt a person's feelings just for raising a question. I agree to each his own as to where they find their humor but obviously not everyone finds this new direction pleasing. Please be sensitive when answering questions. Could be your own question one day and you wouldn't like others to be insensitive to yours in their replies.
I didn't find offense to any of the cards. I think they are creative and fun. Great to give as V-day card, anniversary, bf b-day, a special night, etc. I've seen more offensive things on tv.
I do agree that you are 100% entitled to your opinion and should be respected for it.

Is anyone else out there offended by some of the cards being posted lately? The under pants, bras, and there is also one with naked girls holding hands. I thought this was a clean web site. What will be allowed next?
Barbara
ARE YOU SERIOUS? No, I mean really? I made some ''panties'' and I am very proud of them! Last time I checked...the Venus DeMilo is showing her stuff! And THAT'S ART! If you don't like...them just switch over. I doubt you'll be offended then if you just skip! BTW...you're invited to join my swap if you like, it's for panties and matching bras! We'd love to have ya! ;)
LMBO!!! I can't believe how serious she was! I just posted a reply...of course...and invited her to the swap...LMAO!!! Look:

Did you mean to post/PM this elsewhere?
This thread has gotten out of control. The OP has EVERY RIGHT to ask her question and post her feelings, just as those of you who are not offended have the right to say so.
What does not need to happen is the raking over the coals the OP has received.
We all have different feelings about risque cards, nudity, whatever. It doesn't mean that we can't respect each other.
I'm ashamed and saddened at some of the behavior I've seen here today.

No...I'm inviting her to join my swap that has to do with panties and bras...it's in my siggy line! ;) I am however a very sarcastic person who loves to bring people into the ''Dark Side"! I'm Darth Vader's DD! LOL!

I completely agree...the post you were quoting was not needed at all.
I think the OP was trying to start a discussion and it has now gotten out of hand, since she is a new poster I hope this doesn't push her to leave. I was not offended in any way by the cards but it is obvious that several people found them to not be in good taste, not necessarly offended by them but not needed. Since we are all adults here lets talk to each other like adults also.
