When a card kit specifies that you will get 6x6 pattern papers, do you expect to get the actual 6x6 pattern paper being sold at stores (like from 6x6 paper pad)? Would you accept getting 6x6 pattern paper cut from 12x12?
I would expect the paper that was shown...that being said there are some 6x6 paper pads that really look like they are a quarter sheet of regular 12x12 paper. Their scale is the same as the larger paper...I can't say it's just one company, I've run into this a few times with different paper pads.

I have too.
Although I have to also say that I never buy 6 x 6 sheets of paper. I always buy the 12 x 12 pads and cut my own. But then most of my cards are 7 x 5.
Thank you for your replies. This is the first card kit order for me so I was not sure what to expect. I received the 6x6 cut from 12x12 pattern paper. It is quite noticeable in a few of the prints where they are not scaled to 6x6. The preview and blogger reveals showed 6x6 pattern papers. There were other substitutions as well which surprised me since the site did not mention substitution could happen. But the rest (like different stickers) are not as big of a deal as pattern paper. I really liked the pattern paper, which is why I ordered the kit and I will be ordering the 6x6 pad separately (I liked it that much). I emailed the site about the pattern paper so will see what they respond with.
I have to agree with the others, usually 12x12 patterns are not scale suitable for cardmaking. I'd have expected proper 6x6, I don't think you are wrong there. I have a bunch of 6x6 pads, and I admit I rarely use them anymore, as I make larger cards than that, but very often 12x12 just does not look right. Probably why I rarely use patterned paper any more.
