Default Now that I've seen the new catalog....

I have to say I'm kinda disappointed that there wasn't a new gingerbread set. :( Although I did manage to pull together a $200+ order without adding in the new in color pads, reinkers and papers.

Maybe TAC will come out with a great Gingerbread set.

Sorry guys- not in this one. We have a single gingerbread man in "Christmas Fun".

But I think both SU and TAC will have a mini catalog/supplement before the holidays.

There is really only one set I'd like to have now. I'm a little disappointed in the whole things really. Better luck in January I guess!

I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed in this catty, too. I actually liked the selection in last year's better. I do love all the Designer Prints paper and the new IN Colors. Those are high on the list. I love Zoofari, Baroque Motifs and Pick A Petal. But I knew that before today. I may get a couple of sets from last year's catty but that's about it. Oh well-that saves me a little money so that's good too! Now I can buy some of the My Favorite Things sets. So much for saving!

:.......I may get a couple of sets from last year's catty but that's about it."

Does this mean we can still order items from last year's catty if they aren't retired and are not showing in the new catty?

Thanks!

not sure if this is where this comment should be but.... NO I do not have my catalog as yet but did have a boo at it on the website and I must say that yes I agree with several of you ladies when you say it is a disappointment. So I thought about it for a bit and realized that it does not have any cheery Spring stamps, no fun flowers etc., no mother's day or father's day and in all not much to cheer up a person. Why? well because this is the winter book and not much cheery happens during the Fall/Winter seasons that call for bright and cheery. Except Christmas of course and Thanksgiving.
so here's hoping that come January the book will be filled with lots of stamps that will warm the soul and get the juices running again in a big way.

I wasn't too impressed either. Does not seem like to much of a "new"selection in stamps. Alot of papers

I love all the new colors. I thought the stamps were cute, but most were not my style. Which is alright because I can focus on getting the few that I want and save money for the next catalog:-D I

I don't have the real catalog yet, but did browse on-line. I saw a few I really like, but it is so hard to tell on-line. I am sure when we see the gallery pictures using new sets, they will become must haves... Looking forward to having a catalog in my hot little hands!!!

Did you see "Art by Design" on page 154? I think it is new; I don't remember seeing it before this catty. Maybe this has something that would work for "handstamped by". I personally like the "Created by" stamp in this set. HTH

Finally got a chance to see the new catalog (on-line) and I thought there were some really nice sets, but like many others have said, "nothing just grabbed me and said, BUY ME...BUY ME NOW." Honestly I'm very happy about that! I love the new in-colors and there were some great wheels and a couple of sets that will fill out my collection, but nothing that I just have to have. So...I'm sure my husband will be very pleased!

I too have to agree I'm not impressed with the new catalog. What about more "men themed stamps", or more wildlife or military? I understand that it is a fall catalog but I'm still not impressed.

I found too many sets I want!! I was thinking well, if I spread my purchases out over the year that's x amount per month. Then I realized this is only a six month catalog and my monthly amount doubled! Yikes!

I think that some sets are hard for me to envision until I use them or see them used by someone else. Like the Pick a Petal set I wasn't too thrilled with until I saw it used in the gallery and now it is one of my top picks!

I'm not necessarily disappointed in the entire catalog... just that there wasn't a Gingerbread set... considering this was a Fall catalog with holiday stamps. I can't wait to have a REAL catalog in my hands to browse through. I'm also waiting for my demo copy of the TAC catalog... hopefully it comes tomorrow... I'm going to be so POOR! Good thing I'm teaching Summer School... speaking of which... gotta go to bed... C-ya.

No sets will retire until next June, though, right? Even though some of the sets in the new catty will not be in the Spring/summer, they will be available?

Smile Re: Not a single gingerbread man!

There is a single gingerbread man on p. 38 in a set called Hung Up on the Holidays on p.38.

I have to say, I am wondering if SU will come out with a fall/winter mini-catalog or if the preview catalog were it?

I am not really disappointed with the catalog. I feel like it is totally, totally different though, and when I pick it up, I think that Stampin' Up has done a really brave and courageous thing of breaking out of a mold that has put the company into four different countries. It does not scream "Fall/Winter" to me. It seems very upbeat, happy and cheerful and a bit more like a Summer Catty than anything else.

It seems very youthful and energetic.

Remember, ladies, that a new mini will be available in September and then, in January, there will be a whole new catalog! I love this catalog but I also love the fact that there will be a whole new big book with more samples and new stamp sets in just a short six months. WOW!

TAC doesn't have any Gingerbread stamp sets.

Along time ago they had something a Gingerbread stamp set.

Sorry!!!!

But we have other cool Christmas Stamp set's and pretty soon you will be able to view them online at a Demo's Angelnet Website.

I am with you. Some of the stamps sets in this years catty looks like third graders made them. There are some stamp sets I like but very few. Very disappointed. I am a paper freak and I love all the papers and I will also be getting the new ribbon SU has, among other things. Hope the mini's are better

You and me both. I do like the papers. ribbons.punches, and a few of the stamp sets. But a little disappointed the catty in all. Not the usual SU.

I am a bit disappointed in this catalog too. Not horribly because I still think there are some gorgeous things--but nothing jumped out and said "BUY ME NOW!!".

I am a bit most upset about not seeing any Patriotic sets in this catalog. Really not happy about that...

I think a lot of us agree that the new SU catty is not up to par as far as the stamp sets go. I would like to see more stamps for the fellas. The papers are fantastic as is a lot of the other items.

Default LOVE IT!!!!!

I love everything about it!!!

From the cover to the index, I think SU has got it goin' on!!!

The way the catty is laid out with the coordinating accessories along the botton of the page, the little blurbs with the "tips" and "don't miss it" the little pictures above the ink pads, markers, etc. is AWESOME!!!

I love the photography of the samples, SU has the best in the business, no catalog can compare to it.

Do I love every stamp set, no, but there are plenty that I will be getting and accessories, I need them all!!!!

My vote is lovin' the new catty:p
