It's kinda sad, I like using the holly, candles, wreaths, bells and such all symbols of the Christmas holiday season. Now I have to change my thoughts to other symbols.
I'm going to try to design a new Christmas card each month and make a dozen of them. So that by the time Christmas rolls around, I'll have all that I need already done.
I will also be making some birthday cards for my Jan & Feb b-days and Valentine's Day stuff too. I'm thinking of popcorn boxes in red, pink and white filled with heart shaped Dove chocolates. YUM!
Well, I have an awesome set of OBAMA stamps, so I'm going to make some Inauguration Day cards. Sort of odd, I know, but this is such a historical election that handmade inauguration cards are certain to be kept forever!
Then, I'm going to work on Valentines cards to sell at my job.

well, In addition to the monthly Christmas card challenge,I am skipping Valentines and jumping straight to Spring/Easter to make up a bunch to send to the Army Unit my Navy DH is being assigned to for his deployment. ordinarily I just send to Cards for Heroes, but seeing as how he is going to be leaving next week, I figure I would make it personal for a change.
That way I can take special requests and REALLY personalize them for the recipients.
My DD turns two next month, so I'll be working on decor and favors for her party. The party is Jan 17-so I'll finish up that project in time to start Valentine's.
I managed to make the invites for DD's party prior to Christmas-so that is one thing done. :-)_

Wow ~ that's huge! Sending good thoughts to you both. Good idea on making cards for his unit - I'm sure the guys & gals will appreciate it.
Me, I'm working on Valentine's cards for Cards for Heroes.
I need to finish my New Years cards, then on to Valentines. But I don't make very many of either type. Just to close family. Christmas & Easter I make a ton of cards.
I am getting close to 500 Valentines cards already completed for the troops...gonna be sick of Valentines by the time I get to my own..lol I am working too on St. Pattys day and Easter to get them off to the troops. I am always making Christmas too. I need lots of those for the troops, the two swim teams I support and my other two card ministries...Way too many cards to make and not enough hours to do it...somehow it always works out.
Blessings.
I love that project idea. I might have to case ya lol. But then again I will be knee deep in school again at that time and probably wont get anything done lol.
Hugs

I'm going to make some Valentines cards for all my girlfriends, and I would like to do a lot of scrapbooking this winter. I have my January birthday cards done, and one birthday card for February done. (I made a card yesterday that just screamed my mom so I'll give it to her in February)

I got a couple of the Thomas Kinkade stamps with wintry scenes for Christmas. While I'm in the mood, I may start some cards for next year. I tried stamping one in black and coloring it subtly with my stipple brushes then adding a little shine with my glitter gel pen. That would be easy to do for Christmas 2009.

Valentines Day, of course. I am hosting a Cricut Swarm (crop) the first week of February with a friend and we are making the entire day Valentine Day themed. It's going to be a blast. We hosted last year at this time, too, and it was so much fun!!
