I may be visiting a friend in Philadelphia and am wondering if anyone knows of stamping/scrapping stores. She is on the northwest side of the city, so it would be most convenient if I could find something in that part of the city, or outside of the city.
There are a ton of things around Philadelphia...are you going to the King of Prussia side?? Do a search on AC Moore or Micheals or Joann's...i know in Oxford Valley down US1 they have a HUGE joann's that i miss dearly since i moved from the area. That's more on the northeast side of Philly though...not sure how close it would be for you. Depends on where you're coming from I guess...Good luck and have a good time!!

If you are looking for local stores... we don't have any of those. JoAnn's, Michael's and AC Moore are really the only ones around.
If your friend was willing to drive out to Lancaster County (at least an hour or two out), there are some little places out there.
There is a LSS in Quakertown (and one in Hatfield - if it is still open - I think it may be in the process of changing owners) if you have time to go a little further...

We have friends in Quakertown that we visit sometimes. Could you please give me the name and address or website for the stamping store there? I'd love to visit it since there aren't that many lss around here. Still waiting for Archivers to come to eastern PA!
Thanks.
Thank you for your help! I was hoping to find a LSS instead of the "big guys." Don't get me wrong, I think the chains have their place, but I miss the feel that the smaller shops have. Most of them seem to have lost out to the bigger stores, though, and internet shops. Well, I'll stop at the M's and ACM, probably J, too - I can always find something I need!
There used to be a really nice LSS in Oxford Valley housed in an old stone farmhouse, and recently upon visiting back there i was so excited until i turned in the driveway to find a plumbing supply or some crazy thing instead. How sad. I think she lost out to ACM, M's and J's. She had such unique things though...such a shame.
