Hi all -
I am new here - but loving this site! I'm Vicki, SAHM of two, son 16 & dtr 9 and a darling West Highland Terrier who is my baby! It's so nice to have a dog that loves you when your teenager has those "attitude filled" days! javascript:emoticon('')
I am a relatively inexperienced stamper ... but have been an avid scrapbooker for many years. I'm interested in using my stamps in my scrapbooks .. and to use up some of my paper scraps by making some cards.
I am so impressed by what a talented and generous group you are - and I look forward to getting to know you.
Glad you have joined. You might want to watch out for our scrap book sketch challenge. They come out on Saturday Night, but you can probably still catch the one from last week if you look further down on the forum from yesterday or the day before. We are currently on Scrap Challenge 4, but you can feel free to do any of them and post to them. There is no time limit for fulfilling a sketch challenge.
Hope you enjoy it here. We have SO MUCH to look at, it is sometimes hard to tear yourself away and get to the scrapping.
Welcome to SCS...but I must warn you...you wont be able to go a day with out loggin' on and checkin' out all the wonderful things on this site. ADDICTING...LOL have fun! Julie
Yeah, with a 16 year old boy, I bet you *REALLY NEED* to scrapbook!! Welcome!
As has been mentioned, look for the SBSC05 tomorrow (you'll get used to the lingo, it stands for ScrapBook Sketch Challenge #5) posted by MamaKimberly. She'll give us a layout to work with for the week.
Reminds me...I'm now *two* weeks behind...what am I doing here??? Oh yeah, I'm a techno-geek who's as addicted to her keyboard as she is her scrappin' alphas....
Ta-ta! ~ K

Welcome... I used to live outside of Rochester - Fairport to be exact - what a great part of the country. This site is addictive... you'll love it. Enjoy!
Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
I've already discovered that this site is addicitive -- I've been lurking for a couple of weeks - ever since my SU Demo told me about the site. Many of the card ideas transfer to wonderful scrapping embellishments - so I've spent many hours looking and way LESS hours scrapping!
Thanks for the comments on my puppy - I've been waiting since I was five years old for a Westie (now that's a LONG wait!). I married a man who doesn't like dogs *gasp*! But he finally gave in and now he's nuts about our dog... phew!
I recently finished a album about her first year with us -- but ask me if I've done my kids' baby albums yet.. NO! But what's the rush - they are already way overdue!javascript:emoticon('')

I live in Penfield! We would have been neighbors - almost!
I do love it here -- we moved here five years ago. When did you move
away? Are you originally from WNY?
A word of caution, this site can be hazardous to you house work! It is so addicting, not to mention inspiring as well! I look forward to reading more posts from you
Welcome, Vicki! I spent my first days here glued to the computer and must have looked at 5000 cards in the gallery in 24 hours! SCS is such a wonderful place to learn more about stamping - hope you like it here!
