I know I was a "Debbie Downer" when I first saw the catalog, but now that I've had more time with it, it's growing on me.
First, I liked the new in-colors right off the bat. I finally saw them in person and now I absolutely love them!
Second, I've finally used the new ink pads and they are a huge improvement. The only drawback is that the ink takes a tiny bit longer to dry so I need to be careful not to smudge anything. But I can finally get a good, clean impression of solid images without having to use a versamark pad first. I'm even considering replacing my collection with the new pads, which at first I was totally against because I have almost all of them.
The current trend in stamps is not really my style. But I did find several sets in the new catalog that I love, when at first I didn't see any that I liked.
So, after saying I found nothing in the new catalog that interested me, I changed my mind completely and even signed up as a demo (strictly hobby). Who knew?
I'm glad that you changed your mind!
Welcome to the SU! family!
Okay, HOW DID I MISS the colour goupings on lots of the pages? Someone mentioned those and I looked tonight and sure enough, there they are. I love that! Even if it doesn't say what they are, they give me a lot of ideas to work with. I had 6 colleague year end cards to make and I quickly found one grouping that caught my eye.
Has anyone seen these? How do they work? Do they go on like cling plastic that can be put on and off; or are they permanent and have sticky glue on them to stay put?

Thanks in advance for any info.
They cling much like a window cling and yes they can be put on and taken off but I leave mine on all the time. I really like them. I put them on one side and then put my stamp on the other. They stick really well but occasionally peel off with my stamp if I put the stamp on the guide. REALLY help when lining up sentiments and stuff! There are some cut to the size of the blocks and then others you can cut to fit for what you need them! I love mine!

as soon as I get this month's crafty budget $$ I am placing my first order for the new in colors. that is ALWAYS my first buy of the new catty! having them in my hands makes a big difference. but then again I still use in colors from previous years, so they never go out of style for me! ha! ;)
Enjoy! I liked them much better in real life than when I saw them online and even in the real catalog! Hopefully they will grow on you! I seriously am obsessed with them...and just my personal opinion...the patio party DSP which has three of them in it is SOOOO pretty!!!!! One of my top DSP's ev-ah! :-)
I LOVE the new stuff so much that I'm able to part with some of the really old stuff and that has never happened before? I had paper going back to Recollections, over 200 stamp sets, IN COLOR since the advent of INCOLOR....but I'm stuck on the ribbon. How do you decide to part with ribbon?
The new pads are a big improvement for stamping silhouette images. Takes a little getting used to, but worth it!
[QUOTE=jeanstamping2;19491075]Sure....Keep us in the dark. I've heard that this was a AWESOME one.
Can't wait to get it in my hot little hands.
I'm sure we won't see a link early on this one after what happened with the Annual Catalog. But then those that have seen it have to tease and torture us, not fare...LOL One of those perks for being a Demo.
I still haven't decided what I want from the Annual Catalog and may just wait to order anything until the Holiday Catalog comes out. Those that have mentioned it seems to think it is awesome. Guess just have to be patient

We're not doing it to tease ... we're just over the moon thrilled!
And ... you could see it early too ... I'm sure there's a demo nearby who would love to have you on her team! (and there's extra product for those that sign up this month!)

I didn't say anything other than answer the question that was asked! Not trying to tease at all! Just trying to help and answer questions. But I think every catalog is the best yet, lol!

I know you all are not teasing us.... And I know you all (demo's) are thrilled to death!
Just from all the talk I've heard. It's got to be a Super Duper Awesome little catalog.
If it's anything like the New Current Catalog. Then I know it's going to be good.
Yes I know I can join up. Still thinking about it.
I think the seasonal catalog is going to be one where everybody can find something they love. I have thought in the past that the old mini was either fabulous or a complete failure with nothing in between, but this new format is AWESOME!
I'm still flipping through the new catty constantly, and now there's the upcoming holiday mini to get excited about!!! Can those who have seen it at least tell us how big it is compared to previous minis? I know there was mention of the minis being bigger now that the regular catty is a bit smaller. If you can't say, I understand...I'll go back to adding to my wish list from the regular catalog! My party isn't until a week from Monday, and waiting to order is killing me!!! I already caved and ordered the new in-colors so I can play with them sooner

The actual size of the catalog is now a bit bigger than 8 x 11.5 (kind of like the magazine size) and about 40 pages. Lots & lots of new stamp sets (Xmas/Halloween/fall related), accessories (ribbons/xmas related items) and so much more. I was totally overwhelmed! There are something for everybody and I assure you of that.
OMG- im a little late to the game here :/ I am new to SU! and just seeing the catalog online i have a wishlist of about $800... thats more than my monthly rent!! yikes!
I am considering signing up but cant figure out what to choose as my starter kit... and what happens if you go over the 125? do you just pay for the extra?
Mr. Brown just dropped off my 1st Stampin' Up! order. From the New Catalog.
I got Cherish Friendship. I've been wanting this for a long time.
Cardstock: 81/2" x 11" In Colors 2012-2014
And two ink refills. Which now I will need to buy two new ink pads.
Cause after reading how the Ink pads have changed. The ink refills won't work.
Oh well maybe next month I can buy some new Ink pads. :(
The new pads work with the old re-inkers except for a few colors:
with the exception of Basic Black, Basic Gray, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, and Tempting Turquoise, which have been reformulated to work with the new foam pad material. We do not recommend using old ink refills in these colors with the new firm foam pads.

I thought some of the reds were re-formulated also?
