Thank you so much!
So do 'products" mean anything in the catalog? For example, the embellishment holder and the ink caddy?
(I appreciate your time in answering my questions).
Yup, anything at all in the catalog... well, except for hostess items. So, you could get markers, or a big shot, or the ink caddy, or the stack and stores (which I love by the way... I have 3 and am debating getting a 4th  )
Once you sign up, you'll use OEX to place all your orders. And Kilroy is right, the person you sign up under should be able to walk you through using it (and any other questions you have too!). Not that I mind helping answer questions here.
It is what demos use to place demo, workshop, or customer orders.
I read that you were thinking of signing up. If you did, your upline should be able to help you with all of what you need to order. There is also a way to practice ordering once you become a demo.
Also on your first demo order you will get a 30% discount if the total is a certain amount as long as you order in the time frame that is different depending on US or Canada.

Thank you!! I love Splitcoast Stampers! I'm terrible (like 99% of our nation of whom we love instant gratificaiton) and love the instant response you get when you ask a question on just about any topic. That way you don't have to send someone an email and wait for a response. Especially if they have a job (how dare them all) and can't answer your question(s) until they get home at night. Then they have families, husbands, kids..... who have needs before my questions.... lol.
So thank you all and especially Splitcoast for this AWESOME website.
I'm going for the 15% off 1 item for my birthday month and the extra $50 in hostess dollars for spending $450 and my 30% off first offer....that is a good start!
And, pardon me, but how did you go about getting/learning about all these discounts? I would love to take advantage of them too. The lady I saw as demo was, say, disappointing and I felt that she was not up front and honest with me. So, I am looking for a new demo or may even become a hobby one myself.
Enjoy all your goodies. Be well

We aren't allowed to solicit business on SCS so your best bet is to go to the demo locator on the SU site and contact a demo to get a catalog or find on from blogs you like!

It's because she IS a demo that she knows about the discounts. The birthday discount is only for demos, not customers so she wasn't keeping that from you if anything. The extra hostess dollars were just announced this morning as a new promotion. All the info is on the SU website. Any other questions, just ask here:-)
*sigh* I was trying to place an order tonight and I noticed that not all the new in color paper is listed.. or the ink refills.. So I am guessing I have to wait to shop.. oh darn

Over on the left side there should be a "join a group" link. You click that and the follow the directions. You have to submit proof you're a demo and then they will approve you!

Thank you! You are always so helpful.
When I ordered my starter kit today I was 30cents over, lol. So I had to take one thing off and get something cheaper. But it's okay, I'll just order that item with my first order.

Awe, thanks! I try:-) I SHOULD be stamping but just can't get focused with all the new catalog stuff and with the week of work I had, ha! Maybe I'll still get around to it tonight....and the doggie on my lap isn't helping:rolleyes:
Welcome and see you on the other side! There is a lot of good info over there to take some time to look around! And make sure to check the SU demo website every day...that's where the announcements come!
I haven't ordered yet...I will this weekend and next day air because I want to play before I get busy in June and have to travel for work....we won't talk about what I'm getting;)
I see that Raspberry Ripple and the Summer Starfruit paper still do not show and only the ribbon shows for Raspberry. So I will wait until it does, hopefully it will happen before the extra hostess stuff goes away

You should definitely visit stampinup.com. This is an awesome time to sign up to be a demo. I just did for the second time (I was a demo back in 08 ) and the savings and promotions are the best I've seen. Sorry you had a bad experience with your demo...it's not supposed to be that way.
I tried to order lovely as a tree in clear mount and it was not available online. Anyone know why?
Sorry, I don't know why it's not listed online. It IS available ... I just checked and I can order it.
It's likely an error that will get fixed shortly for online ordering.
In the meantime, you can have your demo place the order for you ... or just wait it out?
In the meantime, I've sent a message to SU! so that they know about this.
can you tell me more about this? I haven't seen it, it is my birthday month, and it is Saturday so SU is closed for calls!!
Excited;)
The promotions for birthdays is only for demos (sorry - but you could sign up now!)
The Hostess promotion gives you MORE free stuff when your party reaches a certain level. (sorry, don't know the US numbers). You can see the details on the stampinup.com webpage.
Best idea ... call your demo to join SU! or to host a party in June or July!

I'm doing so much brainstorming and salivating over my order that I'm not getting very much stamping done at my craft table. I keep coming back to the galleries to see what neat stuff people are doing with the preorder products.

For any workshop/customer order over $450, you get an extra $50 Hostess Dollars. That's in addition to what's already in the Hostess program.
Birthday month discount is only for demos.
If you have a big wishlist, perhaps you should consider signing up as a demo. You would still get the We {heart} Hostesses extra dollars bonus for orders over $450 as a demo. But you would get a discount on your order. Plus, you can pre-order from holiday mini in July! ;)
Plain ol' customer, here. Got my new catty today and spent several hours with it. Just general comments -
-I don't love it.
-The "chapter page" colors and layout are very appealing, however
- I find the organization confusing - stamping tools up front, other tools in back? Words of courage is seasonal? Tickets, mouthwatering, and lean on me are occasions? But Apothecary art isn't?
- Paper and Ink has brads and buttons? Oh well, at least they're cross referenced.
Do their designers ever actually intend to MAIL their cards? Seriously, some of them would require a box!
I prefer wood mount, but $39.95 for a stamp set is a little rich for my wallet.
I found a few things to buy, but not like in years past when a new catty could generate a long long wish list.

The basic tools are in the front to make it less confusing...to see what you may need to get started right away. They have targeted this catalog to a younger demographic so it's different because of that. I'm in that demographic and I LOVE it!
I love the color combo examples as well! I need to get to work using some of those!
I and I make big cards...it's an art form so the way I see it, not everything needs to be mailable. For me, it's more about the art than the actual card.
Sorry you're not loving the catalog! Maybe the seasonal mini will be more your style! At least there's always something coming up, lol! :-)
can someone message me or post what the minimum requirements are as a demo? I'm having a hard time finding current info about quarterly minimums on SU site and initial google search results are from past years.

Well it is correct....with the discount you only have to pay $240...but of course tax and shipping do get charged so technically it is closer to 300 BUT....you only have to buy $240 worth of merchandise...not $300...does that make sense? So you still come out ahead instead of having to buy $300 plus the tax and shipping.....
I didn't think I was going to like the new catty after I saw it online, but when I actually had it in front of me I was quite happy. And don't forget that the occasion catalogs are going to be bigger than they used to be.
