My friend hosted an SU party a few weeks ago. She is a first time stamper and is having lots of fun with her new stuff, but some of the stamps she received as hostess benefits have delaminated. They are both the new light green colored ones, and the rubber part has just completely come off the foam.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so what did you use to repair the stamp?
I suggested rubber cement or silicone caulk, but I'm not sure how the foam would react to the chemicals in those.
Has she had the stamps very long? Maybe she could return them to her demo.... if she has had them for awhile, my demo suggested super glue if the stamp comes off the wooden block, but I'm not sure about the rubber from the foam... Sorry.
I know the rubber cement should do the trick, however if she wanted to she could probably get them replaced by SU seeing as it seems they are defective...
she has only had them two weeks. i will probably suggest she return them, since they are so new.
would they replace the whole set, or just the individual stamps?

I would think they will send an entire new set with an RMA # so that she can return them without incurring any out of pocket cost to herself or her demo...are you the demo? If so, you ought to call SU with order # in hand..if not make the suggestion that she contact her demo and let her demo handle it...
I just recently had this happen with the newsprint alphabets... I did not realized till I started to cut the rubber... was worried that I was out of luck because I had started to cut the rubber... called SU and they said that they can either replace the defective ones or just replace the set. I had no problem in getting a new set... just had to send the defective one back when I got the new one. Asked what caused it... said that sometimes they can get air pockets in-between the rubber and foam and that quality control normally catches them.

I had to return a defective alphabet set last year, and going through the process with your demo is very easy. Make sure to only mail back the rubber and keep the wood blocks, box, and labels, because they will only send you a new sheet of rubber!
