Yes, I agree, I think Earth Elements is the way to go! I would probably use those colors more often than the other groups anyway, and I think they would be versatile enough to use for stamping verses or flowers or whatever. Thanks!
I can't wait for Artichoke and Celery! I am a green girl for sure! Apricot will be nice too...hey they all sound awesome!
I can't decide though if I want to get reinkers for my Forest Foliage and Burgundy, or if I should just replace them. I use them a lot in winter and they are perfectly fine. I hate to just put them in a drawer and forget about them. I also realized last night that my Eggplant is brand new and still wrapped in the plastic! Bummed about that! Obviously though I must not care since I've had it over 6 months and haven't used it once!
Rose Romance is my most favorite color and I hope the new one is close...from what I saw in SS the new one looks slightly lighter. Maybe the old and the new will look pretty together with Terrific Tulips!
I wish I was still a demo so I could preorder!!!! This is only my second month not being a demo and it drives me nuts not to have the latest scoop. I work with my former upline/demo and she shows me the good stuff. Although yesterday I am the one that told HER about the new colors! LOL
In the Stampin' Success online article about the new colors it states that Demos should let their customers know by e-mail or phone wich colors and products are being discontinued so they have a chance to purchase anything they may want before it is gone. I contacted SU this morning to verify that when the old color supply of that product runs out, SU will not be reordering, you will not get it. For instance, when the Baroque Burgundy classic pad supply runs out, SU will not be ordering new supplies, nor will they substitute the new color before the new catalog comes out. I e-mailed all of my customers last night, I was glad I saw this thread yesterday, I wanted all of my customers to know about the changes ASAP! Then they can make the decision to buy what they need before it isn't available anymore. Personally, I'm keeping ink pads and markers, its another shade to use, especially the markers. I have some markers that have changed color, this way I may have 3 shades of the "Bliss Blue", just another color to use. Re-inkers can always be used for shaving cream or polished stone, or even coloring another shade for watercolor.
I may not buy all the stamp pads right away, I know my customers will not get rid of theirs, so I can demo with both colors, those that buy new colors will be able to see those, those that have the old colors will be able to see the difference on the new color of paper. Sure, it may mean another big investment for those people who have to have the new colors right away, I probably will be included, but there will be new colors that we have been asking to be included for quite a while. I personally will miss Mint Melody, I used it a lot with Orchid Opulence and Bliss Blue and loved it, and my customers loved the color also. So the next 2-1/2 months I will be making cards with the colors that are disappearing.
Remember, there also are tag sheets, boxes, etc using some of the regals that are being discontinued so that also will be a big change and more product to buy!
This change sounds great. The down side for me is I am a new demo and wanted to used the one time 30% discount to buy all of the pads, paper and markers... guess I could and just give away (as door prizes) or sell the discontinued??? then buy the new later??? Any ideas?
As a customer, I am really excited about all the new colors. Mauve Mist is my favorite color and I will miss it lots but am very glad for the opportunity to order the refill before it is gone. In fact, I will order all the discontnued/changed refill colors so I can continue to use my current pads. I don't have the paper colors but liked the idea of using them as gifts or prizes for the demo's who have a lot of stock. And don't forget, you still have time to use them up. We customers can't even order the new colors untill after the catty comes out in July. That is 3 months away.
maybe some of the new colors will match some of the card stock color shade differences we have received in the past, now that will be resouceful and a bonus, can't wait to see the new colors
Sorry if this has already been asked and I missed it. Will we get to buy the individual spots in the new colors? I love my spots and only have a few pads.

I really hope I don't get flamed for giving out this info. The spots were my biggest concern, too, cuz I just got all of them and love them.
A couple different demos have spoken with Demo Support this morning and were told that in this next catalogue only, the spots can be ordered individually. This makes me very happy! (whoops - edited to say that it sounds like the new spots will be available as a group - not individually.)
Remember, I haven't heard this from an official source, myself, just from a couple other demos who heard from Demo Support.
If I was not supposed to say this on the general board, I'm sorry. It seems a small thing compared to all the other stuff being talked about.

Reason: update info
Sounds like I'm not the only one who's excited about the new colors!! MammaK, I can't wait to see what you come up when the new colors come out. I'll be checking your gallery in July!!!!
Wow! I'm glad nobody saw the thread that I posted last night about the new colors! Yep, that was me, but I wasn't smart enough to even think about needing to create a new ID. I'm a hobby demo, and I really had never even thought of sharing the news as "leaking" information. The Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart states, "To love what we do, SHARE what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments...in this we make a difference!" I figured I was just sharing, so I hope you girls won't get mad when I share some more information about the new colors that I learned from my upline who has a Service Account Manager (something demos who earn the incentive trip get). Here is what she learned. Please keep in mind, that this information is meant for demos...so, "we" means Stampin Up!.
1. We will offer a special set of 12 Stampin Spots that will be available
starting July 1. This set of 12 spots will be just of the new colors and will
be available for one year only. Since this item will be available in the new
Idea Book & Catalog customers will be able to order them as well!
2. We will also offer a special set of 11 pastels that will be available
starting July 1. Sahara Sand will not be available in a pastel. Remember
that Sahara Sand is part of the Neutrals color group and not all of the colors
in the Neutral group will be available in every product. To see an example of
this look on page 203 of the 2004-2005 Idea Book & Catalog under the current
Neutrals section. You will notice that Basic Brown is only available in a pad
and ink refill while White and Vanilla do not have classic ink pads or
refills.
3. Starting May 15th new recruits may order the new Classic Stampin Pads in
their starter kits to coincide with the pre-order period. However, the
assorted packs of card stock will still be packaged with current colors and
new colors will not be available in a kit until July 1. Remember if your new
recruits would like a sampling of the new colors they will be able to buy an
assorted pack on a demonstrator order staring May 15th.
4. We are also receiving many questions about how the color changes will
affect our accessories. Accessories that carry over from the 2004-2005 Idea
Book & Catalog will be reconfigured with new colors when needed. The new
catalog wont offer any product in the discontinued colors. This would
include eyelets, buttons, designer papers, spectrum pads etc. However, be
aware that even though the Craft pads are not available on the pre-order Craft
colors will have the same changes as Classic colors.
I shared this information with the best of intentions, in the hopes of helping others decide what and when to place their orders. This is for all those customers out there whose demos may not have this information. This is for all those demos out there who have not earned the cruise to share with their customers. I hope this helps!
I know that demos can pre-order the cardstock in a pack of new colors - but will there be a "pack" of new colors in the ink pads? For example instead of selling "bold brights" will it be of just the new colors, or will we just need to order them separately??
Thanks!

Amy, I'm not totally sure I'm understanding what you're asking (still haven't finished my second cup of coffee)...but I think the answer is yes, you will need to buy the ink pads separately...at least I haven't heard of any packs of pads, EXCEPT the spots...those there will be, for one year only, boxes of just the new colors available. Hope I haven't added to your confusion....
There's really no need to offer a "pack" of the stamp pads; the pastels and spots are important because you can't buy those individually, and people were concerned about having to buy the whole set to get just the new ones. So they aren't making anyone do that.

Because you can buy the markers one at a time, as you can with the regular stamp pads.
The spots and pastels are sold only in groups, and people didn't want to have to buy the whole group for one new spot. So SU! is coming up with a way for them to do that.
Pretty straightforward, don't you think?

How about assorted packs of card stock? I generally don't buy a single color instead I buy assorted cs of each family group.
Will SU be offering a package of the new colors just ike the spots? I do hope so...

According to the order number chart on page 6 of the May SS 8 1/2 x 11 New Card Stock Assortmnent will be available only from May 15th - June 30th.
As far as I see all the will be available for pre-order will be the ink pads & card stock. The rest will have to wait until the new catty comes out. ;-)

From what I understand, no, there will not be assortment packs of the new papers in the new catalog. Demos will be able to order ONE ONLY package of assorted new colors just so they'll be able to show all the colors to their customers right away. After that, though, even they will be buying full packs of each color...
