Default new ctmh catalog

Has anyone else looked at the new close to my heart catalog. I was kinda disappointed in the selection. I just didn't seem like that much to pick from. I normally have a big wish list when I look at their catalog. I guess its good for my wallet. I do want to pick up a few new inks. I also picked up a few of the workshop papers.

Wow! I just went and looked at it, and I can't believe how few stamp sets there are! If you want paper or "stuff", they've definitely got you covered, but stamps? Not so much... Most of them seemed to be sentiments and/or scrapbooking-type things, too. I guess that makes sense if you consider that they are more oriented to the scrapbooker than the cardmaker, but it still seemed very limited in scope. I'm glad I bought the three retiring sets (pretty much the extent of my wishlist) last month...

Catty was small with a very limited selection. There is only one set on my list! Maybe the holiday book will be more of a wow for us.

At this point in my crafting life, I prefer the "other stuff". Although I still love and purchase stamps, I really, really, really don't need anymore. And I'm running out of space to store them! And I can't part with what I already have either to make room for more!

5 years ago, I would have wanted more stamps, but now, I'm kinda glad I don't have a big wish list of stamps that I just have to buy.

But yes, I was disappointed in the catalog. I'm not a fan of their paper selections either--as if I need anymore paper. But I have heard that their supplements are supposed to be the bomb! (Do people say that anymore?)

The quarterly Expressions booklets are AMAZING and chock full of stamps! They also have paper collections featured in each book. These quarterly Expressions books are seasonal and contain all of the icing on the cake AND the cherries on top!
Get your paper and pencil ready for the Holiday Expressions ... it is FABULOUS! It goes live to customers on September 1st!
You make a good point - lately their seasonal catalogs have been significantly more impressive than their annual... Looking forward to it!

One thing I noticed - no kits. Usually there are scrapbook and card kits. There's still coordinating groups so you can choose components as you wish, but not pre-packaged as a kit with instructions & measurements.

I make cards more than I scrapbook - I don't think I could ever have too many sentiment stamps ;-), so I do see some interesting sets. And I am thinking the watercolor paper pocket scrapbook cards (they have pre-embossed images in clear or gold) might work well as a component on a card.

I've always thought their prices are reasonable and I like their storage envelopes.

I agree, not as much in the catalog. I still scrapbook (use their albums) and I did like some of their pocket pages that I could add to a regular layout. I was looking for their kits too. Surprised not to see any in the big catalog. When does the small catalog come out?

Yeah, there was almost nothing I wanted in the main book. There was a lot more I was interested in from the holiday book.

I am glad they brought back their "normal" albums. Although I like the patterned albums, I just want the plain ones. I was a little worried when I tried to order them from the old catalog and they were discontinued!

Of course, now I'm wondering if they switched suppliers and they aren't as nice as before. Guess I should buy just 1 of them instead of the several that I need.

I was glad to see the solid colored albums were back too! I have one ofthe printed albums, and I prefer the plain/solid.
Now I am really curious about the holiday catalog. Is the anywhere that I can see some peeks?

I was excited to see the solid color albums return as well, but I notice they still aren't expandable. :( I'm planning to buy one (love the teal color) and see what I think before purchasing a bunch.

 They have D-rings and post-bound; the post bound are expandable.
