Well, we will all find out on June 21 - but I expect prices will be higher as a result of increased petroleum/resources costs. Hopefully, shipping will stay the same, but gas prices are changing that for many other vendors, and is this a price SU! will have to live with for a year.
That would be something the demos might want to mention to their customers when the new catty hits June 21- so they can stock up!!!
In most likeliness it will. The cost of producing paper has increased do to the fuel situation.
Logging right down to the paper mills. They all use gas and diesel fuels.
Then add the simple cost of living increase and yes, the prices are going up.
(Myself, when I find out, will order extra accordingly to cover my needs. The new catty is good for a full year, the paper price is only good from June 21st. to June 30th. if it does increase.) WILL NOT DO THIS NOW, AS NEW CATTY WILL NOT BE OUT UNTIL 7/1! I expect even the price of the stamp sets to increase in the new catty. Rubber is a petroleum based by-product and therefore, it will cost more also!
Just my 2 cents worth....

The catalog won't be available until July 1 for anyone unless some lucky demos get theirs in the mail early.
Your demo will have no way of knowing unless she is lucky enough to have her new catalogs delivered before July 1. If this is an important issue for you to know ahead of time, you should ask your demo to let you know as soon as she gets the catalog and hope it is before July 1.

I'm going out on a limb here by saying I don't think so. Since SU at one time had planned to unveil the new catty to demos only and then the public early I don't think they would have been able to handle the surge or orders before 7/1 to circumvent the price increase. That's just what I'm thinking. I could be wrong.

I think what people are saying about knowing on the 21st is that SU announced the online catty will be available then (the 21st) So we will be able to see the prices earlier than we can order the new items

Rubber is a natural material from a plant. Admittedly some rubber is synthetic rubber, some of which is made from petroleum distillates, but is usually billed as such. About half of the "rubber" today is synthetic but is almost always referred to as synthetic or one of a dozen other names--like polyisoprene, neoprene, silicone, polyacrylic rubber, resilin, ECO, ABR, etc.
If it is billed as rubber it is probably made from latex, tapped from the rubber tree.
Best local paper supplier in the Denver area is Xpedx which is a printers supply house. Also have boxes, bags etc. I also buy boxes that are 4-1/2 x 5-3/4 for set of cards for gifts. The boxes have a white bottom and plastic cover. Xpedx is great for a variety of cardstock, but I usually just buy white stock there. They allow us to buy by the sheet so one can get a variety of whites.....textures, glossy, high gloss, coated matte (this product is great for stamping as it takes ink so well). I think I paid about 20 cents a sheet last time and had about six or eight different types of paper. I usually buy 20-25 sheets of each when I go.
Depending on where you are, check out the printing supply houses.
Hmmmm, might be time for SU to think about "unmounting" "wood free" stamps.
So many companys are going this way.... Eco friendlier, cheaper etc...
Just a thought, popular ...we'll see Not to mention storage!
Wel-l-l-l-l-l-, I must confess, I know a bit about making rubber from latex but had to look the rest up...its been a loooooong time since I took chemistry!
Where is xpedx in denver--I would make an occasional trip down there to get stuff--with a friend who goes occasionally too...
There are three stores that I know of. One at Bayaud and Santa Fe in Denver, One at Wadsworth and 52nd in Arvada, and one out on South Havana and, I think Jewell, in Aurora. I go to the one in Arvada when I visit my friend out there and the one on Havana when I have to go out to Anschutz at Fitzsimons and the one on Santa Fe if I'm running errands in the downtown area. I've had as much as a ream of various papers in my hot hand and the man out on Havana charged me $10.00. (You know that a ream of cardstock is usualloy only 250 sheets) They also have craft supplies and some stamps and inks, punches, etc. and offer a discount card that they punch. I usually drop about $50 - $75 when I go. They always make money somewhere on me. When I started SCS and they gave me the name Cardstock Collector, I thought they had been following me around on my last Xpedx visit. LOL.
