Default nestabilities in cuttlebug

Does anyone know the combo of pads to use in the cuttlebug in order to use nestabilities in it?

If you check out this site, she has video tutorials on the cutting and in the past she has done one for the embossing- you just have to look in her archived stuff for that one: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_weblog/

For cutting: you need plate A, B, the die and paper and C

If you check in the Tools and Products forum there are lots of threads about the nestabilities and cuttlebugs. These tutorials seem to be good though. Just remember to have the cutting edge going into the B plate, not the C plate.

For cutting: (stack from bottom up)

A plate
C plate
Nestie rough side up
Cardstock
B plate

I will add that I use a thin layer of "chipboard"/cereal box between the cardstock and plate B. It saves the plate B a bit and embosses at the same time. I bought the polymer mats but haven't needed to use them.

Good luck!

OOOH! Thanks stampinchampin for the idea about using chipboard instead of the polymer mats. I just bought the Nesties last month and didn't add the mats to the order (trying to save $). Now I'm glad I didn't. We go through cereal boxes pretty quickly. And... it'll be another way to recycle

If you'd like to see a You Tube video on how to properly use the Nestabilities in your Cuttlebug, the owner of Spellbinders shows you how here:

Sometimes a visual really helps!
