My daughter is having her Birthday party (8yrs old) and as a treat, each girl will be getting a notebook, pen, and key chain. I attached a thumbnail so you can have a "look-see." Do you think this is enough? Do you have any suggestions on what else can be included?
TIA for your suggestions

They are all adorable. For my granddaughter's this year (9 yo and 7 yo), I did a couple things and then got a bag of those small candy bars and printed out little wrappers "Heather's Birthday Party" or something like that and stamped the paper with coordinating stamps. I have also stamped the white lunch bags for the goodie bag. I've never seen the keyring. Very cute.
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

I think it is a great combo. It would be fine as is... but a chocolate treat would be great too. Maybe a cello bag withh M&M's with a matching bag tooper? Either way... the girls will be thrilled!!
very cute- love the keychain! I agree.....before I scrolled down and saw what everyone else said I was thinking that you could make a little baggie with candy and stamp a matching topper. Have fun!
Wow! I think this is super cute and you don't need to add anything. I've not been to a party where the hosts has such gifts for the party-goers!

I think the gift is great as-is! I'm sure they'll be eating enough at the party - why should you have to send them home with candy??!! I think they'd be thrilled with the stuff - especially since it has their names on it!
What a wonderful goodie bag... It is perfect! I would put everything into a cello bag and put a matching topper on it and the party guests (and parents) will think it is FABULOUS!
I think that you have already planned very nice (and *generous*) treats for the kids. They will love the journal, pen & keyring. I would put the three items in a clear cello bag & tie it w/ a pretty ribbon.
I love it! Did you make the invitations with the same stamp set?
Yes, the invitations used the same stamp set and colors! Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. I know it's silly, but because the items aren't store-bought, I was feeling a little worried at how they'd be received by the girls. My daughter is thrilled with them, but you never know . . .
After all your suggestions, I will definitely include a candy-thing -- either m&ms in a cello bag with a stamped topper, or a candy bar with stamped wrapper. It's an excuse to use my Shapes and Shadows and stamp all afternoon -- LOL as if I need an excuse
Again, thanks for your advice

MAN, this is just too too cute! I think the girls will love it! I work with youth group girls and they would be all over this... um... maybe they will be all over it later this summer when I shamelessly CASE it!

For the key chain, I stamped on polyshrink with Staz-On and colored in with Sharpies. I punched a hole with the 1/8 punch and heated. I looped beading wire through the hole and strung size 11 seed beads. I crimped a sterling crimp (using a crimper) and attached it to a lanyard and then to a keyring.

I totally agree, I wouldn't include any candy, Im sure they will already be on a sugar high, and I love it when my dd comes home from partys with stuff that is actually useful and not edible
What a wonderful idea. It is plenty the way it is. I would leave time at the party for each of the girls to write in each others books. What a great keepsake, like signing a yearbook. What great fun to look back on in a couple of years.
How fabulous! I think it's perfect the way it is. I agree, a nice bag would be nice for them to carry it home. But I would skip the candy. After cake and ice cream, they don't need more sugar. Your DD's friends are lucky girls!
SUPER CUTE!! And I'm going to add my "two cents" that it's perfect as-is. I know the girls will LOVE it, especially since their names are on it...and all the Moms will be in awe of your creativity and craftmanship! You go girl!!

That's such a neat age - the favors are perfect! Your party will be a big hit and the favors will be loved. I wish I could come and watch their faces! Let us know how it goes!
