Default Need project ideas, please!

I have a workshop at the end of July and the host asked if I could demo something cute & easy for fellow moms. She booked from a previous workshop (feb) where I did a demo using the heart from Hearts & Posies to make a Smarties butterfly. It was such a hit that several of the moms used it for Valentine treat for their kids @ school.

Does anyone have a good idea? (Aside from the wrapped nuggets, glass marbles, etc) I'd love to hear suggestions and possibly see your samples.

Thanks a bunch!!!

I don't have a sample to post unfortunately, but I made a great project at a stamp camp I was at a little while back. My demonstrator cut a card into the shape of shorts using Not Quite Navy Paper. And then we used bleach to stamp some of the flowers from Tropical Blossoms onto the shorts. We added a strip of ivory paper at the top for the waistband. It had holes punched in it so we tied some cord through that. It ended up looking like swim trunks-so adorable! And now that it's summer time how fun would that be to use as invitations to a pool party!

Default idea

I have a popsicle card that I cased from someone else and modified slightly. I don't know who the originator of this was, but it is awfully cute. I'll put it up in my gallery...go have a look!

My kids went crazy over the cards I made using this card that I CASE'd from the SCS gallery:

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

It also uses Hearts and Posies, and the recipients loved it too!

Very fun and easy to make, with great WOW results!

Default Popcorn wraps?

I didn't make most of these, so cannot post on scs, but check out my gift ideas album on http://community.webshots.com/album/98397292fRCanI. One fun idea is to do microwave popcorn wrappers or a tic tac toe game and topper.

Hope this helps! Connie Stewart, who sent me both those photos, did a great job on them, I think!!

All my best,

Neighbor_Nancy

Default Project Ideas

I am having a workshop this Tuesday and I wanted to have an extra project for the customers to do for their make and take in case there is a small group of them. I am making the pencil pouches. There is one shown in the most recent July 2004 Stampin' Success on page 5. I am making the one using Stars and Swirls because I thought it would be appropritate with the fourth of July but you could use any set or even wheels for this. They only use a half of sheet of white cs for each one. They are very easy but are really a cute idea. Carol

Default Cute, Easy Ideas

I have done lots of fun things. One of the biggest hits I've done in the past is a cello bag filled with whatever and just have them stamp a topper. We did one with the PMS M&M's and it turned out cute. I printed out the poem on cardstock and everybody put one in their cello. We added M&M's. Then we used the jumbo circle punch to punch out various colors of M&M's and stamped and M on them with the white craft pad. Glued them to the topper and that's it! Super easy! Let me know if you would like a copy of the poem!

Default M&M Poem

Here's what the poem says. If you would like a copy of this with about 15 per page, please email me directly at [email protected]. I have it available in Word format.

At the first sign of hot flashes eat the red ones.
Eat the orange ones to minimize depression.
The green ones calm your frustrations.
Eat the yellow ones if it is gloomy outside.
If you feel a headache coming on, eat the purple ones.
The blue ones reduce bloating.
You can eat the brown ones anytime!
If all the symptoms appear at the same time,
EAT THE WHOLE BAG!

Sour cream containers are always a hit too! They are fast, simple and my customers love them. I always use some of our designer papers to make them and then add a stamped tag.
